Has anyone seen this? I remember the previews as looking interesting, but I haven't heard much about this film. Is that a hint that I should avoid it?

I like the Rotten Tomatoes site as it gives you a large number or reviews all in one place...

Just noticed this as far as the director is concerned, he does have some good credits...
Lost Souls Director
Director of Photography for the following:
Saving Private Ryan
The Lost World: Jurassic Park
Amistad
Jerry Maguire
Schindler's List

Should have been called: "LOST FILM!"
Bad! What else can I say.
Especially bad when you consider the fact that the director of this film was also the D.P. (Director of Photography)
for: SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, LOST WORLD: JURASSIC PARK,
AMISTAD, SCHINDLER'S LIST & JERRY MAGUIRE.
Also, all of these films were expertly shot, conceived and cinematically executed, maybe not JERRY MAGUIRE, but
no body's perfect. This is a CROSS between the EXORCIST,
END OF DAYS and CROSSING OVER WITH JOHN EDWARD (the sci-fi
syndicated psychic show.) Visually, the film is kind of cool, but by 30 minutes in - it becomes a bit annoying.
If you check out my thread of top 5 trailers, I've included LOST SOULS in a category called: GOOD TRAILERS for really BAD FILMS! When a film is shelved for over a year, it's usually a good indication that the product isn't too good. Had this film come direct to video, I may have cut it some slack. Maybe not, as the D.P. is far too good of a filmmaker to have been involved with such a mediocre production. Need I say more?

Watched it last night...It wasn't very good....thankfully my local video store rents for $2, that's about all it was worth.
A thin drawn out story with a few cgi and camera effects thrown in. I would say a cross between the Exorcist and Rosemarys Baby (grown up) but those are both far superior films.
