I was wondering if anyone out there had any opinions on the JVC 3-dvd changer (I think it's the 565, but not sure). I'm looking for a dvd player, but most likely a changer, anyone have any opinions on good ones under $500? Thanks for helping a newbie.

JVC has taken extreme measures to alienate everyone who purchased their 501 and 701 players. I don't know anything about the player you mentioned, but JVC's customer service has disappeared and their technicians
know that they cannot repair them, but they will take your money.

I dunno abt this new JVC dvd player but my advice is to stay away from these suckers... Not worth risking buying another JVC...might see another problematic dvd player from JVC again

That will teach these jokers not to push out a dvd player that sucks BIG TIME !

Buy a Sony or Panasonic.

If you can, wait a few months for the new Sony dvd players that are being shown at CES.
The low end 5 dvd changer is going to be $300 MSRP and will be cd-r compatable along with some other improvements. Sorry I can't remember the url for the info (I found a link in a post yesterday),

I remember the first time someone lied to me. I was a little kid and did not know that lies existed and was sucker punched into a new level of awareness.

When someone lies to you, you cannot and must not ever believe them again, period. It doesn't matter if they have mended fences, been reborn, found god, whatever. That person is never to be trusted again.

JVC deserves whatever negative feedback it gets because they lied when they sold them and they lied when they took money to repair them. I like their svhs machines but will never buy any other product from them. They cannot be trusted to sell something that will work beyond their meager warranty or after xnumber of repairs.

Thanks for your help.. I guess thats no JVC for me then.. although I have their Reciever and I've beenn very happy with that. But it seems that the DVD player is another matter in itself. I guess I can wait to see then new Sonys or just get a really cheap one in the mean time...

Thanks again.
