I've had a JVC RX-662VBK receiver for about 4 years. It's worked fine up until last night. I was going to watch a dvd, and when I turned on my receiver, most of the sound was coming out of my right main. My left main and center hardly made any sound at all. This is the first time anything like this has happened?

Has anyone had this experience with a JVC receiver in the past? Any idea what could resolve it? I am hoping I don't need to get a new receiver quite yet. The wife and I are building a house, and we close in April, so we need to save as much $$$ as possible.

I had a Technics receiver that did that if the center channel speaker became unplugged while I was messing behind the entertainment center. The left front speaker would get louder, the right channel all quiet and I am not sure I heard the surrounds either. Once I plugged the center speaker back in, it was all good again. Check all your speaker wires and make sure they are plugged in good to your speakers and your receiver.

Thanks for the response. I will go ahead and double-check my connections tonight. I'm just not sure that I've ever had this problem before if I happened to not have the center channel plugged in.
