This looks pretty damned good... but I'm cautious because this has kinda been done time and time again.

I saw somewhere that this isn't even getting screened for critics...

Damn good film. I'm guessing it wasn't screened to avoid having the media spoil the damn thing.
It's a nice slow burn, but with some excellent world building.

Saw it last night and enjoyed it - good world building and the hand cam feel enhances the gritty tone. However, script became very predictable - not because of anything due to me, but more from the movie being waaaay too heavy handed on certain clues. It’s definitely low budget with the dark scenes (which actually helps the alien creepiness side of things) and the special effects are kinda passable. Still, I liked the journey and it’s a different man-on-the-ground take of the alien occupation movie, making it more of an intimate movie va being full of explosions.

I caught a matinee today and it was alright. It was was an interesting idea to take on an alien occupation of earth. But ultimately I found the character development weak. I didn’t give a shit about any of the rebels. And they totally wasted Vera Farmiga in a pretty thankless role.
Some decent visuals, but pretty forgettable for me. C from me. I sat next to an old couple and they actually bailed after 1 hour. I think the wife was bored to tears and I could hear her mumble complaints to her husband.

It's an intricate labyrinth of a plot the rebels come up with to fight against the entrenched aliens on Earth.
There are plans within plans...
Paying attention is key to understanding/enjoying it.

I Redboxed this on DVD and it was mediocre. It's also very convoluted and meanders. I can see why this bombed. In fact, there's so much to the film, it could work as a series instead of a film.
