In a word: disappointed

Not at all how I thought it would go.

Spoiler:
... built as if it were the series finale... with no tie in to Infinity Gauntlet.

Ditto. And now we have to wait a year.

What a giant mother fucking cock tease. I almost wish that were the series finale.

I will say that Daisy/Talbot fight was fucking epic.

I'm so glad they didn't make the characters stupid about Fitz, since what to do there was instantly obvious.

Maybe the Infinity Gauntlet tie-ins will come next season.

Coulson could get dusted, and then when he comes back it might undo the Ghost Rider damage that was killing him.

Yeah that was a series finale if I ever saw one. I don't know if they should have brought it back since we only get 13 episodes and I'm sure a portion of it is going to be about searching for Fitz. Also, if this show is coming back in the summer, then Avengers 4 will already be over with. They'll have the freedom to do whatever they want. I just read an interview with Joss Whedon and it sounds like they were expecting this to be the end so they don't know what they are going to do for next season.

Phil and May on the beach looked very fake. Can't believe they couldn't have filmed that scene on a real beach and just digitally inserted some palm trees or whatever.

Daisy/Talbot was great.

Spoiler:

Poor Deke - undone by Fitz-end ... (I assume the empty room w one multi-tool was his man-cave-warehouse shown earlier? )

Re: Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (S5E22) -- Season Finale -- "The End" -- 5/18/18

I imagine they wrote Coulson off since he's off to filming Captain Marvel, right? Also, what's Kevin Feige reluctance to use the TV shows to expand on what's going on in the MCU? I mean, beside little mentions here and there after Whedon left Marvel, the TV shows have been completely left out of what's going on in the MCU. Wouldn't it be great for every show MCU related like Daredevil, SHIELD, etc, to suffer some of the effects from the Infinity War? For example, have May, Coulson, Deathlok, Ghost Rider and Dr. Hyde become dust on SHIELD. Have Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Karen Page, Patsy Walker and Kingpin dust on the Defenders. There's so much potential of what they can do with these properties, yet they keep treating them like red-headed stepchild.

So Deke simply vanished, is that right? I'm surprised that moment wasn't on screen. Since this was written as a potential series finale, it was pretty depressing when you consider what happened to Deke, Coulson and Fitz.

Deke is gone and nobody cares. What a loser.

I suppose future Deke will still be born and have no knowledge of previous events.

We don't know. He said he wanted to see the world in case he did disappear, so he left.

Oh, you guys. That was a great series finale. Who cares about tie-ins? These characters deserved a great send-off that stands on its own and they got one.

Wait, what's that? It's coming back next season?

Well, huh... That's a little disappointing, actually. I'm not sure how they could wrap it up better than that.

Awesome non-finale. The best ones always have at least one character that didn't make it out. But they seemed to make it clear that Fitz could come back in some way.

I think they’d connect it more if the show was better received. This is the internet. The MCU is always one mistake away from being shit on non stop by fandom.

He ded. Extremely disappointed in what happen to Fitz. That kind of thing is tiresome. Killing a character has become a plot cliche as common as the hero walking off into the sunset with the girl.

He is not dead. He is frozen in the future. Simmons is going to look for him.

Not the future. He froze himself right after they were sent forward in time, so he's currently in the alien's ship. They returned to a point in time after Fitz was already frozen.

Yeah I phrased that poorly. He is frozen for the future to help the team, but not actually in the future.

Yup. Jeph Loeb should have a similar role to Feige (though not as lucrative) with Marvel Television as a separate entity from Marvel that reports to the ABC Studios President. Or... Disney should move Marvel Television under the Marvel Studios umbrella, having Loeb report to Feige.

Perlmutter needs to retire, be removed, or stay strictly to the comics side.
