Man, team Flash has regressed. The writers need to stop kicking around with these characters.

Yikes.
Best bit - Joe slays the Samuroid.
Worst bit(s) - well probably the rest ... I guess we assume the Thinker had already found the Folded Man and assumed Team Flash would use his power, etc etc ...
Really annoying trope - Samuroid and the Lady deflecting bullets and blasts w swords ...

If Ralph is truly dead, then I'm bouncing out of this show completely as he was the only sense of enjoyment in a very rough season.
This really has gotten worse than arrow. What is with the show writers for these DC TV universe these days?

I guess the producers grew tired of writing around Killer Frost, so they permanently got rid of her. That decision doesn't really bother me, though I would have made her a permanent villain instead of keeping Caitlyn.
The Thinker taking over Ralph was about the only truly surprising plot move we've seen this season, so in that sense I like it. I'm sure Ralph will be back, his powers give him an out. They've basically made him invulnerable.
This is the problem with team-based superhero shows. The producers feel compelled to include every single supporting character having a role in key battles. Iris fighting against the Thinker's wife was ridiculous.
I did like the push and pull between Barry and Ralph this episode. Both voiced their concerns from opposing sides on killing an opponent.

There is zero chance they don't figure out a way to bring Ralph back.

I don't know, I'm not hating on the show quite as much as others seem to be... I don't think Ralph is gone for good and I actually like The Thinker rather than just another speedster to face off against. And "Evil Ralph" promises to be fun.
That said, this episode seemed to feature one of the worst gaffes yet unless I'm wrong - so Flash took the tuning fork to face the Thinker and it didn't work on the 'fake' Thinker, meanwhile the real Thinker was back at Star Labs and Ralph faced him with ... the tuning fork? Did I miss a throwaway line about how there managed to be two tuning forks?

It was poorly shown but Ralph somehow saved the shape of the fork on his body, pushed his hand into the fork’s mold on his body and made one with his hand.

Guess I'm in the minority. I thought it was one of the better episodes of the season. Wont really miss Killer Frost any. I really hate Iris. Its funny how in the crossover her and Felicity were bumbling around in Star Labs(realistic) but in this one Iris is suddenly portrayed as Molly badass. So far this season she's been a speedster, become the leader of Team Flash and now become a master fighter. Ridiculous. Joe with the sword was badass though.
Also not sure what to think about Wells and the thinking cap subplot.

Re: The Flash (S4E18) -- "Lose Yourself" -- 4/17/18
I've largely enjoyed this season of Flash, but the show's glory days of season one seem far in the past. They've double-downed on all the gimmicks I dislike about modern superhero TV - every character ends up with powers, each main hero is relegated to being a side player for his "team" much of the time, spotty attempts at humor, and a general malaise surrounding the trappings of superhero storytelling.
They need to depower Cisco. His power distorts many of the Flash's plots.
