Yes, shocked to read this... Night Court was a great, and very underrated show, and Harry Anderson was excellent in it. He did indeed seem perpetually younger than his real age, so hard to believe he would pass away so soon. He did seem to keep a pretty low professional profile after NC went off the air, and was apparently not much for the trappings of being a TV celebrity. RIP.

I absolutely loved Night Court. It always made me laugh. Every time. Plus Markie Post.
RIP Harry Anderson
This past week took Milos Forman, Art Bell, R. Lee Ermey, and now Harry Anderson from us. It's 2016 all over again

Night Court was an absolute favorite as a kid. Far too young to lose someone like that.

Sad to read of his passing. I'm guessing "Natural Causes" is probably a heart attack or stroke.
I never watched Night Court religiously back when it aired, but I did see it every now and then and found it funny.

Loved Night Court, especially the Ellen Foley eps. Sad to see him go.
He was also in the original It miniseries in a rare serious role.
Surprised that John Larroquette outlived him.

Re: RIP Harry Anderson
What's crazy to me is that I LOVED him on Cheers and I looked at his bio and he was only on it 6 times. And one of those was the punchline on the last season. I would have thought he was on it a dozen times easily. He was so strong and memorable in his performances.
He really made his mark as the stand-up filler on SNL in the early 80s which got him the Cheers gig in the first place. Ironically he performed more on SNL than he did on Cheers.

In my head canon, "Harry the Hat" was Harry Stone visiting Boston.

R.I.P.
Was Night Court a spin-off of Cheers?
I thought it would live on in syndication but I don't know if any networks airs the episodes.

Re: RIP Harry Anderson
No, but his appearances on Cheers almost certainly was a factor in him getting the lead in the show, and Night Court was the companion show to Cheers for most of Cheers' run.
