The Golf Club 2019.

The Golf Club 2019 will release in the third quarter of 2018, developer HB Studios announced.

The third iteration of the franchise is expected to bring a host of new features and enhancements, including four-player Skins Match, team-based Alt Shots modes and single-player career modes.

When The Golf Club first released in 2014, the game’s focus was its procedurally-generated courses and course creation systems.

More than 170,000 user-created courses that have been created in the original title and its sequel will be available in The Golf Club 2019 along with some real-world courses.

In addition, plenty of new options will be offered in the course designer and character creation system.

Gameplay features such as ground effects, swing feedback, ball physics and online matchmaking ill also undergo enhancements and refinements.

HB Studios has not announced that The Golf Club is moving toward annual releases, but this will be the second entry in the franchise in as many years, so all signs point to The Golf Club becoming the newest annual sports title.

The Golf Club 2019 Adds The PGA Tour License.

HB Studios has announced a significant addition to its Golf Club 2019 title – The PGA Tour license. This means that the August title (PS4, Xbox One, and PC) includes the FedExCup, six licensed courses at launch, and much more.

The game's PGA Tour Career mode starts at the Q School qualifying tournaments, continues through earning your PGA Tour membership via the Web. com Tour, and culminates in the Tour itself, which has the FedExCup Playoffs.

The Tour also contains six real-world TPC courses: Summerlin, Scottsdale, Sawgrass, Southwind, Deere Run, and Boston. The announcement's official press release also mentions that other licensed tournament courses will be added in the future.

Conquering demanding courses like these won't be your only challenge. While on the Tour, players will have sponsorship goals (each sponsor has three levels with multiple challenges) and Tour rivalries.

The winner of these is determined by which player earns 20 points in statistical categories such as Front 9 Score, No Bogey Round, and Best Hole.

Since its start in 2014, The Golf Club series has been relatively license free, centering around its course creation options – which are still present in The Golf Club 2019.

Competitor EA Sports last had the PGA Tour license in Rory McIlroy PGA Tour (2015), but since then EA's golf series has been silent.

That course is literally 200 yards from my house. I have to get this game now.

Looks nice but I really don't see anything that will make me upgrade from the current version.

Odd... and maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I can't pre-order this at Best Buy or Amazon.

2K Publishing The Golf Club 2019.

2K has announced that it is publishing HB Studios' The Golf Club 2019, which can be purchased digitally for PS4, Xbox One, and PC as of today ($49.99). The game's physical release comes out later this fall.

For 2K this is another move into publishing other developer's sports products (see NBA 2K Playgrounds 2), and this is the Golf Club franchise's third publisher in its ascending career – 2019 features the PGA Tour license for the first time.

Developer HB Studios self-published the first title in 2014, with Maximum Games handling last year's title. 2K has not announced the length of its partnership with HB Studios.
