I hope they write Iris off the show. Or they need to make a trade where they send Felicity to Flash and Iris to Arrow. Seriously, the writers must hate the actress to keep putting her in this hating position.

I'm not sure how Team Flash was able to defeat Fallout without Iris's steady hand at the wheel.

I feel like every time Barry has to make a decision he always chooses what will put the greatest number of people in danger the next episode over what will end the current storyline.

So this whole story line is about getting Barry into the same prison cell as his father.
For this whole story to work they have to sell that "The Thinker" is a threat. Fail. Can't wait for them to move on to something else. The cross-over was a reminder of what this show can be.

How is The Thinker not a threat? We have ZERO idea what his endgame is, only that he took Barry off the board by being one step ahead and manipulating Team Flash from the very beginning. I don't think his plan had anything to do with getting Barry into the same cell.
This season has been pretty excellent thus far.

The point was the producers wanted that emotional "same cell" moment. For "The Thinker" (on the show, don't care what the comic had) to be a believable threat they would have to have given us far more than they have. You also, more than for the typical villain of the week, have to totally ignore that Barry has his ultimate power. The equally powerful speedster villain may be tired at this point, but at least it makes sense as a threat to Barry.

If the Thinker's plan was so great why did he send the police to the apartment of a speedster with CSI knowledge. If I found a corpse in my apartment and knew I was being framed, I would think "if only I had super speed and a knowledge of CSI techniques, I could easily get out of this. Now if I had the ability to travel through time I could turn this plan back on them!" If you were to frame anyone for murder your last choice should be Barry Allen.

DeVoe (I have ZERO knowledge of The Thinker in comics) is well aware of Barry's strong sense of moral duty and lawfulness, and is using it against him. This was underscored by Ralph's dressing down of Joe as he was about to plant evidence to clear Barry.. This is what makes heroes HEROES. And again, we still don't know what Devoe's endgame is. Creating a dozen metas (in an origin similar to a 25 year old Ultraverse comic I forgot the name of... The Strangers?) was the first step, then removing Flash from the playing field was the second. The next phase is coming.

I believe when the Thinker visited Barry at the courthouse he mentioned that with all his simulations that the probability of Barry running was 12%. Then Barry replied it would always be 0 or something like that. The Thinker knew Barry wouldn't try to disrupt the process and his sense of moral duty like Hokeyboy mentioned.

I probably shouldn't complain, but wrapping up a murder trial in one episode seems a little rushed to me.

Except Barry hasn't shown any interest in doing things by the book before, so to use that as the Thinker being smart is pretty odd. At best Devoe should be rotting in a secret Flash prison right now along with the others he decided to lock up against their will, and without any interaction with the official branches of law enforcement.
I also doubt that Barry/The Flash will be out of the picture anymore than he was restricted to the court room for the whole trial. So easy to get him out for periods of time given his abilities, and the abilities of his friends.

I just don't care about this story line at all. Dare I say it, I miss a speedster as a big bad.
I mean , just like we glossed over the repercussions of putting metas in to a gitmo sort of jail, are we also going to gloss over the fact that a CSI officer getting found guilty like this will just open a can of worms of many court cases to be reviewed causing chaos in the system.
But nah, dog, you see, Barry didn't want to tell another person his secret identity other than the 50 people who already know.....

Barry should assume that every villain knows his real identity. It’s not like there’s a villain club where they can all hang out and swap stories but word should get around. Heck, I’m surprised his identity wasn’t revealed on the six o’clock news.

Nice to see Mark Valley in something. Human Target
Mildly amusing that Barry we see that he basically stops time in his talk with Iris (what it looks like to him), yet he can still get beat by criminals with the stupidest powers.
Also great that a murder trial gets wrapped up in a day.

Quickest murder trial ever. Plus, sentencing all in 1 day.
and how does Barry get the exact same cell as Henry?
I did when Caitlin changed to Killer Frost because Cisco said that Puppies were in danger.

more to the point, regardless of being a guy on the force, how is it that Barry, a murder suspect on trail, gets to walk around with an ankle bracelet?
that's not how this works, that's not how any of this works.
