I guess these 2 specials come out at midnight eastern time this evening. Excited to watch them.

Netflix paid Chappelle $60 million for three specials, the 2 in the can, and the first new one announced.

The second special added to New Year's Eve makes 4. I wonder what they paid for that extra new one?

Well if he got $60mil for three, wouldn't it be plausible to say he got around $20 for one? Chris Rock was given $20mil per special as well.

I really enjoyed Equanimity, but the second special wasn't really doing it for me, and I turned it off after 20 minutes or so.

Yeah, it is pretty easy to tell that The Bird Revelation, where he's sitting on a stool about 4 feet from the small crowd at The Comedy Store, was kinda thrown together.

It wasn't bad, but it didn't seem polished and wasn't nearly as good as the other 3 Chappelle specials on Netflix.

It was very current as he talks about Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey etc.

It only runs about 47 minutes.

Really looking forward to finally seeing the new Chris Rock special. It was originally supposed to debut in December. I know he was touring for it last March.

Same. Equanimity was OK, in a Chappelle standard, but I felt asleep with The Bird Revelation. Something was missing in that one.

E Unit

I’d say about 80% of Equanimity was what he performed with in Austin, right down to the end with the story about Emmett Till. I thought it was powerful and well done. I just wish he left the material about Whole Foods in the show. That was damn funny.
