DC's Legends of Tomorrow (S3E06) -- "Helen Hunt" -- 11/14/17

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 14

DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW

"Helen Hunt" - (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, DL) (HDTV)

A DIFFERENT KIND OF WAR - When the Legends track down an anachronism in 1930s Hollywood, they discover it's none other than a time-displaced Helen of Troy and she's just started a war between two film studios. As the Legends try to fix history and return Helen (guest star Bar Paly) to the Bronze Age, things get complicated when they are blindsided by the appearance of a former enemy. Sara (Caity Lotz) contemplates an offer she is made, which would make the Legends leave the anachronisms be. Meanwhile, Stein (Victor Garber) and Jax (Franz Drameh) find themselves in an unusual predicament. Dominic Purcell, Brandon Routh, Nick Zano, Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Tala Ashe also star. David Geddes directed the episode written by Keto Shimizu & Ubah Mohamed (#306). Original airdate 11/14/2017.

I’m amazed that Sara and Helen didn’t get it on.

Going into the episode, I was thinking that would happen.

I kept expecting that to happen as well.

Interesting reveal that the witch chick is Dahrk's daughter.

Nice hint at WW.

Franz Drameh's impersonation of Victor Garber was so over the top and hilarious.

And yeah nice little hint of Wonder Woman with the TheMyscira Island reveal.

I know Bar Paly (Helen) from NCIS LA. She plays Chris O'Donnell's love interest and a federal agent in that show. And yes, she's smoking hot.

Best line of the series:

Rory about Hedi Lamarr: "I'd do her."

Another FUN episode.
Glad Helen of Troy found a safe place to live.

Hedy Lamarr was not only a beauty but had brains too.

This was a fun, fun episode. How about that line to Ray that he has a face for the movies and could be a big star.

Let's see how that works out for him.

The actress that played Helen sure was far hotter here than she ever has been in NCIS LA. Barely recognized her, and didn't really figure out who she was until she finally got to speak.

The Freaky Friday stuff worked far better than I thought it would after seeing the preview.

Another fun episode. Nice seeing Thymescira and I liked the brawl at the social even between Nate, Mick and Ray. The Freaky Friday stuff was fun and even though the CGI looked shitty, I liked seeing Firestorm Stein. I like Zari, but I still think that Amaya or her hopefully get written off after this season. Having two totem characters(which granted do different things) feels redundant.

Doubling up on totem wearers does feel redundant. That appears to have been a budget issue. I suspect Berlanti cut the show's budget after earning half of the Flash's ratings.

Since the powers are different it does not feel all that redundant.
