I honestly don't know why I even still record this show. "Watched" this episode on fast forward and pretty much was a better experience than wasting 45 minutes...

Yeah, as good as some episodes shave been, this has the same issue other seasons have had. No cohesive story to carry through to the end, such that the finale is lackluster at best. They are all over the place with all three of the main characters (Peters, Lourd, and Paulson) such that I don't really care about how it works out for any of them.
The only interesting part of this last episode for me was that I was reading that Peters was going to be playing Manson before last season's Roanoke series even began. So it makes me wonder how the story was correct, other than what season was going to feature Manson. Did they make up this whole thing so they could fit in Peters playing Manson for one episode?

I enjoyed this season also. Maybe my expectations are so low that anything above OK is enjoyable.

Finally sat down to watch this episode. Agreed on all counts ... the story is meandering but at least it makes some sense even if it isn’t following a direct course. Much more tha Roanoke could say as it was just a senseless mess of folding evolutions.
Can’t wait to see where the finale ends up ... was it all just a comic book story that Ally is telling Oz?
As I’ve said, I haven’t watched many of the seasons (just the first and the last one), but based on what I saw last year and what I had seen of the other seasons, I am enjoying this one. Maybe it is lowered expectations or maybe it is because I find “reality horror” far more interesting and engaging than slashers and bloodbaths. Maybe it is the terrific performances by the actors.

I marathoned the season the past week. As I mentioned in a previous post I watched the first 4 seasons and then skipped the last two.
This season is the usual AHS, starts really strong, first 3-4 episodes were good, and then it has been a mess. A lot of non sense.
Still, a lot of funny moments/dialogue that I think were intended.
Anything can happen in the finale.
