Basically a re-package of the previous BD releases.

In case anyone is interested and doesn't own the previous sets.

Kind of funny they didn't include BvS - and not surprising they didn't remaster any of these.

This only has the Donner cut of II?

I might bite on this... once it hits $30 or less.

I've already got the four Burton/Schumacher Batman films so I'll pass. I still need to get the Superman films.

I found all four Batman and the four Reeve's Superman films in my local Wal-Mart $7.88 bin. I am all set since I don't like Superman Returns.

Yeah, I've meant to get the Superman films for a while. When the box set first came out it was kind of expensive since I'm not a diehard fan. Now I only ever see the first two films individually or in the three pack with Superman: The Movie,Superman II (Donner Cut), and Superman Returns. I'd like to have them all.

As someone who has watched it recently, there is absolutely no reason that anyone needs to own or should ever watch Superman IV.

I'm still waiting for the Superman 1-4 box to get cheaper than $45. I've been waiting a while.

Only good thing about Superman 4 was listening to co-writer Mark Rosenthal's commentary track. He basically says the movie sucks and was made on the cheap by Cannon.

Yeah, but that one aside I like the others so I'd buy the complete set just to have them all. Even Superman III I like some aspects of to be honest. Mainly the Evil Superman parts and some of the stuff when Clark is back in Smallville.

Superman 3 could have been a masterpiece with some script revisions and if they had went with Braniac and Bizzaro as they had planned to.

The UK set is cheaper. I was lucky enough to get a new copy of the US set for $8 in one of those crazy Go Hastings sales the last year they were in business.

I'll admit I like the cover design with the two logos. I already own every single movie in the set with multiple editions.

The real kicker is I already have the first two on HD-DVD.

Re: Batman/Superman Anthology -- 10/17/17

Packaging these films together is kind of odd if you ask me. Other than them all being DC films there's nothing about them that ties together. I know of at least one reference to Superman in Batman & Robin but its just a single line uttered by Batman. I'm sure its just WB trying to repackage something to sell before Justice League comes out but still.

It's one of my favorite commentary tracks of all time. He's very candid about the things that worked and the stuff that didn't. I loved the backstory of his disagreement with Christopher Reeves about Superman ending the Nuclear Race. It's definitely worth it for this track alone.

Superman Returns also has an equally quick mention of Gotham City.

Only serious media nerds like us would understand that this is a repackaging of previous releases and not a new set that includes the Nolan or DCU films.
