Next Sunday at 3am Eastern time Showtime is showing all 18 hours of Twin Peaks starting from the beginning and ending with the two hour finale. Get you some cherry pies and several pots of hot black coffee and make a day of it.

Epic. Lynch has had his fun, and now he's giving us the payoff. And all those Dougie episodes turned out to be extremely important to the character.
So let's talk about Dale manufacturing a double:
To trick Dirty Cooper?
To send back to be with Janey-E and Sonny Jim?
OR (and I hope this one's true) to replace "Dale Cooper" so HE can go back and be with Janey-E and Sonny Jim?
I didn't think they'd top last week's episode, but man oh man. Can't wait for the finale.

It's more moving if Dale is the one who really goes back. It's the whole point of him being Dougie in the first place (from a storytelling/script standpoint) - the FBI has brought him nothing but pain - this is Dale's chance to make up for that. I hope that's where they're going. But I wouldn't be surprised if Lynch made it ambiguous about WHO went back to Janey-E - Dale or the manufactured Dale - that would be very much his style.

I don't necessarily disagree with anything you say. I just felt like that scene in the casino was a goodbye. Maybe I need to re-watch it again. Sending Cooper off into the sunset with his new family doesn't feel like a Lynch move to me. Not saying it won't happen. I'd just be surprised if it did.

Mind blown like a manufactured Red Room tulpa.
I lost count how many times I punched the air with a Yes! or Holy Crap!
So intense right from the start and just didn't let up.
Richard (Evil Coop's son) getting zapped.
Jerry finally stumbling across people only to witness that.
Cooper bouncing back was the most joyous thing.
That entire scene with Diane. Did we ever see the real Diane?
The hilarious demise of Chantal & Hutch.
Janey-E & Sonny-Jim's goodbye. I doubt Cooper is going to leave them with some double after everything that's happened. I think the tulpa is part of plan to fool Evil Coop.
I was faked out by Audrey at the Roadhouse until she started dancing then figured no way is this real. You can hear the woodsman electrical sound when she looks into the mirror. Seems more than just a coma or asylum.
This has been the best. I really wish it could go on.

This was a good episode. I am so glad to have Dale Cooper back. Also glad that Audrey's whole storyline so far has not been reality. It would have been a terrible way to ruin the character. I am looking forward to the finale this week, which will be bittersweet. I was a bit perplexed at the whole Tim Roth-Jennifer Jason Leigh shootout, though, when they got randomly shot down by some crazy accountant?
I still don't think we needed the long, drawn-out Dougie storyline, and we could have spent ore time in Twin Peaks. I personally would have been okay with amnesiac Cooper stumbling out of the Black Lodge in the woods during episode 1 while they tried to piece together where he had been, but Lynch will be Lynch. Still, looking forward to seeing how it all ends.

Does anyone else hate the name "Sonny Jim" as much as I do?

Audrey's scenes not taking place in reality make a lot of sense given the strange, cyclical nature of those scenes.

Damn, wish they were taking a week off for the long weekend. Won't be able to watch it until Tuesday night.

Finally watched it, it was outstanding.
The whole waiting in front of Dougie's house up to the FBI disarming that neighbor was amazing.

It's rather unusual that there's so many "new" episodes on a Holiday weekend. Usually shows take the week off and give us marathons, particularly the premium channels.

So many great things about tonights episode, but the part that stands out to me the most is Audrey's dance. We all remarked when she first showed up how hard Sherilyn Fenn seems to have aged--but when she was dancing she looked like Audrey again. It was magical, and made the smash cut to her looking in the mirror all the more jarring.

I predict in the finale the last scene will be: someone will ask the new Dougie "what is your name?" and just as he is about to answer it fades to black and Journey's Don't Stop Believin' plays.

Naw, final scene will be of a lid closing on a small blue box while a mexican singer croons on.
