Wow, I just filled the cup...
This opens in limited release and already played Sundance, I think. Well Go USA is getting domestic release rights for the BD and Arrow Video is getting them for the UK and that one comes out in October.
Here's the final trailer:
I pre-ordered the UK version:
Blind buy all the way.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll check it out for sure. Looks like Kill Bill and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance thrown into a Crank blender.

It reminds me more of La Femme Nikita but with more action. It also reminded me of Black Cat from 1991. Sort of an unofficial HK remake of LFN.

That trailer looks bananas! I'm going to have to check it out. It definitely looks like a more balls-to-the-wall La Femme Nikita.

Bought a friend & I tickets to see this on Sunday!
The closest theater screening this is about an hour away but I'm really looking forward to seeing this.

Saw this last weekend. I walked out a disappointed.
The opening (action) scene is exhilarating but the remaining action scenes (there are MUCH less than the Trailer would have you think) are extremely messy. The camera feels like it is literally in a washing machine, sometimes too close, sometimes out of focus, weaving in an out in a way that probably felt energetic & seamless to Kim Ok-bin but felt incredibly distracting.
In addition, the characters & script are wafer thin. The plot structure of the film (current day/out of order flashbacks) does its best to hide it but it's glaring about a quarter of the way into the film. Also, after such an exhilarating opening, there is way too much downtime in this film between set pieces.
100 mile drive (round-trip), $13+ for parking, $16 for a ticket. I learned my lesson

...i fell asleep watching it. I've said in the past that I pass out to movies I love pretty easily, that only applies to repeat viewings.

I got a shipping confirmation from Amazon UK -- for some reason I thought this would ship next month but that's the Well Go USA release. I think the Arrow Video release will be the better version out of the two.
