Remember that loud MGM DVD logo from 1998?

I have very crazy memories about this logo. When I watched the first MGM DVD release of RoboCop, it scared me so much that I ran upstairs... real fast!!!

Good idea. The ED-209 has a demonstrated problem with stairs.

The first DVD of Robocop was on Image, and they had a silent intro at that time.

Every time I pop in an MGM DVD, I always have to remember to turn the volume down on my set-up to avoid scaring the upstairs neighbours.

The volume of their logo is twice as loud as the movie itself.

No wonder certain people jumped during that logo. I don't like it when companies do such a thing.

This is the reason why I fell in love with MGM.

Tried to stay aware whenever I was popping in an MGM disc so I could mute my sound system beforehand. It was heart attack inducing.
