You might recognize him from Breaking Bad:

It was hard to tell because of the framing and the fact that it was pitch black, but one of the guys on the stake out at the beginning looked like one of "Mike's guys" that Lydia would eventually paid off to try and kill Mike.

I have a hard time believing that Slippin' Jimmy would botch the Los Pollos Hermanos stakeout that badly.

Awesome episode. We all knew the opening sequence was building to Los Pollos, but the way they approached and framed that sequence was great. Gus' expression while sweeping the sidewalk as Saul was driving away gave me chills.
Also, the guy with the backpack handed over the sensor somehow we're assuming, is that right? Victor shows up in the black Escalade and Mike's monitor picks up the movement so I assume that's what was left behind somehow.

This is new territory for him and the fact that he's excited to help Mike out after the stakeout shows that it's a new thrill.

Francesca being introduced and being favored by Jimmy is comical given how much she eventually rolls her eyes at him in his practice.
Mike may have killed her spirit, but Saul basically turned her into a cold dead soul.

These last two episodes would have greatly improved season 2. Last night should have been season 2's finale.

Anyone notice how Jimmy was taking the tape off the wall from his painting?
Ok. I see they addressed it. Posted as I was watching.

Agreed, I felt so let down by season two I wasn't sure if I was going to stick the rest of this series out. These first two episodes have been stellar. Last night at the end I was all, "I can't wait to see next week's episode," which I don't remember doing once last year.

It was interesting to see Jimmy lose it like he did at the end. I sense it wasn't just over the betrayal from his brother but also anger over a con man getting conned so well by someone who prides himself on being straight and narrow. Then - again underestimating Chuck - Jimmy gets conned again!
Seems to me Chuck might be better at a hustle. While Jimmy was confessing I didn't suspect he was taping it. Then, when Ernie heard the recording, I didn't think Chuck was deliberately setting up the next phase of the con.

That whole Pollos scene with Jimmy was just brilliant. The tension they generated with the camera focusing on Jimmy's face. I may be misremembering but that thing was a one shot right?

I loved how we first see Gus in the background and out of focus, sweeping the restaurant.
That shot in the road of the ringing phone on top of the gas cap was pure brilliance. Thank you Vince.

Now - I am sure Kim & Jimmy could come up with some excuse or make a deal with them to not press charges.
Chuck is a nut case - so there are a lot of angles for Jimmy to play (concerned for his well being, safety, etc.) - and he can even say he was "set up" and his brother's paranoia played into this.
Fun to see how this is going to play out

How could Chuck have known that Ernie would accidentally make the tape play by trying to put in the batteries.

Um that whole thing was a set up. The batteries probably didn't need any changing and he had set it up so that the tape was pressed to play when batteries would be put in to it since he knew Ernie was the one who gave Jimmy the heads up on the copy place.
