The Arrangement (E!) -- S: Josh Henderson, Michael Vartan, Lexa Doig -- 3/5/17
"The Arrangement” follows Megan Morrison (Christine Evangelista), a beautiful young actress who auditions for the female lead in a summer blockbuster playing opposite Kyle West (Josh Henderson), one of the world's top action movie stars. Kyle’s mentor is Terrence Anderson (Michael Vartan), who runs a self-help organization called the Institute of The Higher Mind with his wife Deann (Lexa Doig). After Megan’s amazing audition leads to an incredible first date (and more) with Kyle, her Cinderella story takes an unexpected turn when she is presented with a contract that would change her life forever… In a town where fame means everything, Megan must decide how far she's willing to go to launch her career and whether or not she will accept “The Arrangement.”
The Pilot was already released on demand and for free on various platforms.
Trailer:
Josh Henderson you may recall was on the TNT reboot of Dallas.
Lexa Doig is currently on Arrow as a guest star.
This also premieres tonight. Probably not going to get many views and will get lost here with so much on Sunday night and E! is not a channel most here watches. But, I thought I would throw this out there.
I do like the cast, but I'm afraid of frying myself out trying to take on so many midseason dramas with little DVR space & time.

I saw so many commercials for it over the past few days that I finally gave in and checked it out. And I'm glad I did, it's a really solid show and I can't wait to see where they take the storyline.
It's kind of a pain going up against Billions and the overrun of The Walking Dead, but at least with E! they replay it a million times.

This was actually a very good pilot. The Arrangement is basically a thinly-veiled dramatization of Tom Cruise's star lifestyle with Josh Henderson playing a Hollywood mega-star. His career is run by a shady, cult-like business.

Just binged the 1st 4 episodes, including tonight's episode.
Didn't expect much since this was an E! series, but color me surprised, thought it was quite good. As mentioned, this seems to be loosely based on the Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes "arrangement"
I've really enjoyed Christine Evangelista as Megan. I remember seeing her on a few other shows as a guest star, but she's really shined here. Very attractive and she also has that innocence.
Josh Henderson is playing a quite different character compared to his role on Dallas. He's been really good so far.
Vartan is basically playing the leader of some kind of shady Scientology-like cult called "The Institute" I was confused in tonight's episode how the hell was he able to cover up the accident with Kyle's buddy. That was a pretty bad accident too.
I'm sure hardly or pretty much no one here is watching this, especially since it airs at 10pm on Sunday night & it's on a channel that isn't known for quality TV.
Jenny Wade also guest starred playing the porn character version of Megan...called "Megan Whorrison"

This show has gotten a fair amount of promotion so I watched the first three episodes last week when I thought it might qualify for the crime challenge, but no dice. But yeah, I thought it was pretty decent--attractive leads and interesting storyline. I'll probably watch some more.

I forgot to watch it.
Wanted to.
The previews I saw the woman looked like Misha barton when she was young.
Saw the preview tonight on the bluray for Girl on a Train.
Is this on demand?

Yes, the 1st 4 episodes are available on demand. They don't expire until June, so you have some time to catch up.

I had the last 5 episodes sitting on my DVR since May and finally powered through them over the last 2 days, including tonight.
Overall, I actually enjoyed the season, even though it's probably not for the majority of this forum. It's very "Hollywood" and deals a lot with the fakeness of so many people are in that world.
Interesting cliffhanger at the end. I was thinking that either Megan (the main star) was brain washed after she was kidnapped or she was faking being into The Institute. Turns she's was faking and is determined to bring it down. The subplot with her being blackmailed was a little contrived though. Really forced drama to create some extra conflict in Kyle and Megan's relationship. And now it looks like The Institute shut that down with her blackmailer dead.
As I said in my post months ago, it seems loosely based on the reports of the phony "arranged" relationship between Tom Cruise and Katie and also has touches of Leah Remini wanting to bring down Scientology.
I'll watch season 2 when it comes back next year. I don't anticipate this show drawing much discussion here though.
