It is was only a matter of time before they recast him with Brad Pitt. Hollywood
Good to see they are bringing The Ancient One back though. Maybe this will clarify the reference in Dr. Strange.

4 out of 6 posts (now 5 of 7) are about Marvel. Maybe they should have gone with a different name.

A movie with Brad Pitt as the lead going straight to Netflix. What a huge bummer.

This is up.
I like seeing higher-profile movies like this exclusively on Netflix. I have to wonder how much money they save on marketing. It probably changes behind-the-scenes dynamics. I'd imagine there's more freedom to do what they want.

Were you bothered by the politics of it?
I thought it was solid.
Anyone else notice how all the characters seemed to have their own expressive mannerisms and facial expressions? I'm guessing that was a calculated move by the director. Pitt really went at it. But so did every actor.

While we haven't watched this yet, during the Nats game today, they must have played the 15 second heroin growing scene twice back to back at least a dozen times, followed by a poppy for vets commercial on the Watch ESPN app...

Big article in The Ringer about this new distribution model and how the filmmakers aren't crazy about it :

This was interesting little-big flick. I did not know it was written/directed by the guy that did the film version of Animal Kingdom and The Rover. Both of those are underrated little masterpieces, imo.
