A mild-mannered high-school teacher (Charlie Day) is accused of getting a fellow teacher (Ice Cube) fired, and is challenged to a fight after the school day ends in this comedy directed by Richie Keen.

It has a fistful of negative reviews thus far (2/4, C, 2.5/5, 2.5/5 and a 1.5/4).
Tracking on this one has been in the gutter, which sucks because I really like the cast.

I just can't get into anything Charlie Day does, with the exception of Pacific Rim because he wasn't in it that much. Ice Cube is a bigger draw for me. Think I'll sit this one out until the HBO premiere in the fall.

If there is nothing else good coming out the same week. I might check this out, it does look funny. I like the part of the trailer where he calls the hotline "Tell a teacher!"... "I am a teacher!" and the operator starts laughing her ass off at him.

I saw it. It's not a ground breaking comedy. I highly doubt it will be regarded as a comedy classic. That said, I laughed out loud many times throughout it and had a big goofy grin as I left the theater.
I didn't look at my watch during the movie and I laughed a lot--for a modern comedy, I'm satisfied.

I'll watch it just because of Charlie Day, and my admiration for Always Sunny. Also guaranteed to buy a ticket for any Tina Fey movie.

How did this get a theatrical release ? it has some ok moments but really played like an extended tv comedy

If anyone has the HBO channels, this is on HBOFamily at 2:30am, 5/15.
