American Horror Story: Cult -- News, rumors, etc.
No joke. Ryan Murphy revealed it tonight in this video. Untitled at the moment. Filming starts in June.

I really hope he was just joking. It almost looks like he was, but he was able to keep a pretty straight face so who knows.

I hope he isn't serious.

Apparently Ryan Murphy was drunk when he made the statement in the Bravo video.
Apparently Ryan Murphy was drunk when he made the statement in the Bravo video.
During the Publicists Guild Awards Luncheon in Beverly Hills on Friday, Murphy clarified that the “reveal” made on the Feb. 15 episode of Watch What Happens Live should not have been taken literally. In other words, while Season 7 might be inspired by the 2016 election, it will not include actors portraying then-candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
“The themes of American Horror Story have always been allegories,” Murphy said, per our sister site Indiewire. “You will not see [Donald] Trump and [Hillary] Clinton as characters on the show.” He also implied that his consumption of “three martinis in 20 minutes” might have had something to do with the answer he gave host Andy Cohen.

Basing it around politicians and a presidential run seems like a good setup. Especially with how popular politics are right now.

Title officially announced:
American Horror Story: Cult
Premieres September 5th. Thankfully the earlier rumor was wrong.
dex14, please change the thread title when you get a chance.
I admit, I did not finish season 6. The theme just didn't work for me at all. This series now heading into season 7 is so hit and miss, more miss lately.

After the awfulness that was Roanoke, I don't high hopes for this one. I'll give it a shot, but will drop it quick this time around. I still can't believe I wasted all that time finishing Roanoke.

I'll tune in September 5th. The teasers have so little to do with the show that the're kind of frustrating.

Roanoke was my first AHS experience and I found it to be atrocious. You guys talked me into checking out the first season and I did enjoy that one. I've not watched any more though.
I'm not sure on this one. I guess I will give it a shot initially, but I'm not holding on for hope (meaning I won't keep watching unless something hooks me in).

I should have posted a link but it was a cumbersome mess of overly-spelled out news (on Yahoo! of all places)... the bottom line is that there will be 9 seasons of AHS - all related to one of the 9 rings of Hell. Maybe this is old news, but I thought it was quite fascinating that he's had this type of vision for each season. To be honest, I don't see the exact connection between the rings and the types of seasons we've had.

All the season take a slight detour but Hotel is pretty focused overall... It's only surpassed (maybe) by the first season, IMO (mostly because of how novel it is).

I'm very happy to continue to see Billie Lourd on TV.
