Paterson is a bus driver in the city of Paterson, New Jersey - they share the name. Every day, Paterson adheres to a simple routine: he drives his daily route, he writes poetry into a notebook; he stops in a bar and drinks exactly one beer; he goes home to his wife, Laura. By contrast, Laura's world is ever changing. New dreams come to her almost daily. The film quietly observes the triumphs and defeats of daily life, along with the poetry evident in its smallest details.

Starts to expand around Christmas.

Always down for some new Jarmusch.

Hoping this is playing in my area. I wasn't a fan of Adam Driver in TFA, but thought he was great in Midnight Special.

I saw this last night. I'm a long-time fan of Jarmusch's work, but this was even better than I was hoping. FWIW, I didn't much care for his last two films, so I consider this a bit of a return to form. It could be considered a 'minor work' since it's so subtle and understated, but it's a really lovely, moving film that gives you a lot to ponder.

I'm also a long-time fan of JJ. I actually liked The Limits of Control and disliked Only Lovers Left Alive. Really want to check this out.

I really want to see this. I'm hoping it makes its way to my area this weekend. Considering I'm in Jersey, you would think it would play in a decent amount of areas.

Good to see Jim Jarmusch still has it after the somewhat disappointing Only Lovers Left Alive.

Re-watched this yesterday (thus completing my Jim Jarmusch filmography watch/re-watch, excluding the two documentaries), and I still really enjoyed it. Still streaming on Amazon for those who haven't seen it. UHD even.

I saw this last month and really liked it. I will probably pick up the Blu-ray at some point.
