Barnes & Noble 50% off British TV Sale 11/29 - 12/12

BARNES & NOBLE 50% off British TV sets 11/29 - 12/12

Current Coupon in Wiki of Master Coupon Thread

Hard to know about upcoming coupons anymore, but there should be some more and better store coupons on Thursday and probably next week as well.
I;ll update as needed.

This post is mainly a cut/paste from last years OP so some of the links may be a work in progress.

Might as well start it up. For 2 weeks online and in store (ends the end of business Monday night 12/12) the annual 50% off MSRP sale is now underway. About 240 BD's and 2200 DVD appear to be online currently. The entire instore stock of items classified as British TV should be included. This is still a sale I buy DVDs since many of these classic series have not and likely may never be put onto BD. Due to MSRP of TV sets, these deals sometimes sound like they should be better than they are so double check other sources.

Just a few to start with
Doctor Who Christmas Specials Gift Set $29
Sherlock: Season Three $20 (Series 1 and 2 also)
Doctor Who: The Complete Ninth Series $45
Doctor Who: The Complete First Series $30
Prime Suspect: Complete Collection $60
Downton Abbey: The Complete Collection $75
Ripper Street: Season Four $17.50
Orphan Black: Season 4 $17.50
Peaky Blinders: Series Two $17.50 - let's just call this a classic British TV series that isn't for everyone
House of Cards Trilogy $25
Agatha Christie's Poirot: Complete Cases Coll $200
Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes: Complete Series $115
Murdoch Mysteries: Collection 5-8 $75
Murdoch Mysteries: Season 09 $30
Humans S1 $20
The Night Manager S1 $20.50

DVD -- be careful. Many of these have been available at very discounts on Amazon, etc and several of the series have been re-released in new packaging with drastically different MSRP than some of these sets.
Red Dwarf: the Complete Collection $100 (Amazon had this earlier this year at $45)
Absolutely Fabulous: Complete Series (Special Ed) 79.50
Allo Allo: Complete Collection $125 OOS online, but I did see this set instore last week
Foyle's War: Complete Saga $100 -- see below
Foyle's War: the Home Front Files, Sets 1-6 Series 7 and 8 are on Bluray if you prefer mixed media.
Upstairs Downstairs Ultimate Collection $100
Are You Being Served?: the Complete Collection $50
Yes Minister: the Complete Collection $30 -- got these 2 series a couple years ago and it's really hard to tell you how funny I find them esp right now
Yes Prime Miniester: The Complete Collection $25 (and yes B&N still has it Mis-spelled)

Black Adder Remastered - The Ultimate Edition $40
Fawlty Towers Complete Series $25
Miss Marple: The Complete Collection $50
Jeeves & Wooster: The Complete Collection $30
Doc Martin: Six Surly Seasons & The Movies $62.50. Season 7 was released on Bluray, but I'm unaware that 1-6 will ever get that treatment

Next BN Sales
12/13 - 12/19 -- 40% all Tv Series except Disney and British TV

12/20- 12/24 -- 40% all Bluray in store (majority online)

They tend to keep a surprising amount of this British stock in stores. So for the people looking to use their membership discount on top, that is one thing to keep in mind.

I'm always amused the way that every Acorn set, even if it's of a Canadian or an Australian series, tends to be classified as "British TV".

Love Murdoch Mysteries (which is Canadian) and may pick up a few more seasons; at the moment I have 1-6, with the last two unwatched as yet.
