Hell if I know. Didn't start working until high school. Any movie before that would've been either paid for with allowance or parents/older sister.
I can say Young Frankenstein might be close.

In high school, first job/independence from parents/paying my own way would have been Ferris Bueller's Day Off when I was sixteen. Up until then my parents always gave me money to see movies. I remember my mom was especially relieved because I used to see movies every weekend and during the summertime multiple times a week.
My earliest recollection of seeing a movie for the first time in a theater was a rerun of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in the 1970's. I was probably 2 or 3 years old at the time.

If the criteria is:
1. Unaccompanied by an adult
2. Money earned from source other than parents
Age 13 I got a paper route in fall of 1971. The first movie would be The Mechanic in November. Followed by Diamonds Are Forever(six times) over Christmas vacation.

I saw so many movies at that age that I can't remember.
I do remember the first two movies I actually walked to the movie theater and watched alone. Night at the Roxbury and Pleasantville. But I was 15 and didn't have a job. So it would have been with Mom and Dad's money. We had just moved to Phoenix and I went from having to drive a half hour to an old-style theater, to having a deluxe theater across the street (which was like Tomorrowland to me).
Also, I feel like a baby reading these responses.

Hard to pinpoint, but I would have to say The Dark Knight as that was the year I moved out of my parent's house.

I'm taking a stab in the dark and guessing Edward Scissorhands. I recall seeing this with friends, so I'm sure I paid out of my own pocket. It may or may not have been the first.

First movie I ever snuck into (and I think it was the only): Road Trip. That was my introduction to, "do multiplexes really not care if you walk around and watch whatever you want(?)". I was 16 at the time and didn't want to hassle with trying to get a ticket. Not worth the little added stress to be stealing a seat.

I saw Breakin' with my cousin in '84 but I don't recall if that was my money. Looking through The Numbers site I think maybe Willow with some friends in high school.

The local theater showed cartoon festivals during university finals week, so the first time I bought a ticket with my allowance money was for one of those.
My allowance was a quarter, and a ticket was 90 cents, so buying a movie ticket was a big deal.
The first full length movie was a revival of It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World. The theater had oversold the tickets and people were sitting shoulder-to-shoulder in the aisles. They all had long hair and beards and blue jeans, and I had been raised to distrust hippies.
Neat question.

Logan's Run. I was 11 and got the money from mowing neighbors lawns with my friend.
We thought the movie was awesome until SW came out and basically forgot about it except for all the T&A the movie had.

Hard to say, since I saw a lot of movies growing up. I am guessing allowance is not your "own" money?
I also don't remember if my parents gave me money if I went to the movies or not once I started working. They may have.
I'll go with Ace Venture: Pet Detective since that's definitely a movie they didn't see with me and I doubt they would've given me money for it.

Re: What's the first movie you paid your own money to see?
When I was very young I remember being taken to the theater by parents/grandparents. Around junior high my parents began dropping me and my friends off at movie theaters. In high school I got a car and would drive myself and friends to the multiplex. Where along that way they stopped giving me money and started expecting me to use my allowance, birthday, and meager job money, I honestly don't remember.
It's odd because I have a near Alan Smithee level of recall when it comes to movies. I can remember every movie I ever saw, the theater I saw it in, who I saw it with, etc. But I don't remember any detail about who paid.

With my first paycheck from my messenger job on a weekend in the late summer of 1969, I went to see GOODBYE COLUMBUS (on a double bill with the Italian western, ACE HIGH); THE WILD BUNCH (on a double bill with THE BIG BOUNCE); and a reissue of THE SOUND OF MUSIC.

had my first job in late 1987 and I believe the first film I saw and paid for myself was Prince of Darkness. This was in May of 1988 though, some Theater was still playing it.
