Rush Hour Trilogy -- 10/11/16

https://www.amazon.com/Rush-Hour-Tri...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Currently only $14.99 at Best Buy and Amazon for pre-order

I ordered a copy since I want to upgrade from my DVDs.

Someone at the other forum reports that it's actually 5 discs, not 4. That also includes the new bonus disc.

Thanks for the info. I might as well order that as well for the upgrade, plus I don't own the sequels. Too bad Bret Ratner is insufferable in interviews and commentary tracks.

Wouldn't three movies and an exclusive bonus disc equal four discs(as pictured) and not five?

Apparently Rush Hour 3 is 2 discs in this set like the deluxe DVD release. Disc 1 is movie only and disc 2 is all the extras. I'm going based on what some poster there said he confirmed.

Re: Rush Hour Trilogy -- 10/11/16

Rush Hour 3 on Blu Ray also came with 2 (50GB) discs. So unless they cram all of that on one disc this time, it might be missing some special features if the set doesn't come with 5 discs.

I thought I was done with custom cases and artwork after the end of snapper cases. Guess not.

Of course, it is Rush Hour 3 we're talking about. Never picked up any of these before, except the first one on DVD. So at this price, I may pick it up. I did like the first two.

As Chris Tucker says to the hostess in Rush Hour 1: "'bout time." I've been expecting this since 2008.

Never owned the third one, hopefully all the DVD special features of 1 and 2 are intact (including the Infinifilm fact track )

Artwork does look pretty shitty. What's up with Chris Tuckers eyes?

Re: Rush Hour Trilogy -- 10/11/16

Per their site:

This title will be released on November 8, 2016.
Pre-order now.
Ships from and sold by Amazon.com.

It's still showing a October 11th release at the WB store site, so maybe it's just a delay through Amazon?

Also, the bonus disc sounds a little more disappointing now, especially with only 25 mins of new features.

Bonus Disc:
NEW. Brett & Jackie: A Look Back at Rush Hour - The director of Rush Hour reflects on his favorite scenes, lines, and moments from the film. (25 min)

Sadly it's unlikely changing the packaging is the reason for the delay.

The WB Shop does say though it's being released on 10/11/20

Rush Hour Trilogy (Blu-ray)

Price:$24.98

Preorder today for shipment on 10/11/2020.

it's $14.99 on Amazon for the 3 movies with all the extras and that bonus disc. I don't know about you, but that's fine with me at roughly $5 per movie.

We can hope. That would be a valid reason for the delay.

Re: Rush Hour Trilogy -- 10/11/16

Just got the set in the mail on Tuesday. Glad I pre-ordered it for $14.99. Price rose to $19.99.

Anyways, it's 5 discs total.

Rush Hour - 1 disc
Rush Hour 2 - 1 disc
Rush Hour 3 - 2 discs
Bonus disc

The bonus disc is a roughly 20 minute new interview with Brett Ratner and Jackie talking about the series and how it came about and their recollections on making it. It's decent for the most part. They incorporate clips from the series. Too bad they couldn't get Chris Tucker. Seems like a missed opportunity.

The 20 minute interview is all that's on the bonus disc. Nothing else.

Rush Hour 3 is 2 discs because for those unaware, the making of documentary on the movie is 88 minutes long!!

Re: Rush Hour Trilogy -- 10/11/16

It's pretty shitty that they couldn't even take the time or resources to either condense the discs or give us a better transfer. It's the same previous releases for all the movies, including the second one that was released in other regions last year. But I guess for $15, that's what you could expect.

So is the shitty artwork in the OP the art they ended up using?
I don't blame Chris Tucker for not wanting to participate in this release.

And that is the point all things considered. $15 for 2 good films all in one place.

Now if they could just release Money Talks on BD.
