I placed an order for a stocked item with Express.com on 09/30 (Saturday) and when I checked my order status, it says ready for shipment on 10/02. Now, my order status say shipped on 10/01 even though I still haven't received any email. Do they actually shipped it out today since it is a Sunday?. Unless they have a special arrangement with the local USPS.

Thanks in advance for any information given.

I have often noticed this with several of my orders from several retailers, although I don't really know what it means. I don't think that UPS, USPS and Fed Ex are open on Sunday. It's possible they are just getting ahead of themselves and are actually going to ship it tomorrow.

I think it's just an automatic computer thing that sends you e-mail once your order is processed in the system.

Living in Los Angeles, I'd just thought I'd drop in this little bit of info. There are several post offices which are open on Sunday--most notably the Terminal Annex at LAX. It IS possible that your DVD could ship on a Sunday.

I'm wondering if they're open Monday thru Friday. I've got 3 outstanding orders - I got tired of waiting for Element of Crime so I canceled the order and got it somewhere else. The other 2 I'm going to stick it out for a while.

I agree that it's a computer thing. I've been ordering from them for a long time now and their shipping notices almost always come out on the Sunday preceding the release date of the DVD.

At least, they did when Express.com used to ship on time!!!
