The Woman in the Window (1944) - anybody seen this?

Just caught it in a double feature with The Woman on the Beach. This was pretty damn good. I've been catching a few noir double features each week, and this is prob the favorite out of the (small) group of 6 so far.

yep, saw it years ago. Very well done, although criticised for the ending at the time. Edward G. on top form as usual.

The Fritz Lang film, right? I know I've seen Scarlett Street, I honestly can't remember if I've seen the other. They were made one right after the other with most of the same cast.

I was all set to reply that I had seen and really enjoyed Woman in the Window ... until I read Mabuse's post and realized I was thinking of Scarlett Street.

Is Woman in the Window in TCM's rotation?

Woman in The Window is the one with Robinson as some kind of expert on the perfect crime. He belongs to a plush gentleman's club. After leaving the club one night he is admiring a painting of a woman in store window. The woman in the painting appears next to him. She gets him involved in an accidental killing and he uses his knowledge to cover it up. Has surprise ending.

Yeah - it was a good light noir, made me almost want to stay and see it again, and also to pick it up, but I'm not sure of the DVD/BD quality.
