Bleed for This (2016, D: Younger) S: Teller, Sagal, Hinds, Eckhart, Levine

The inspirational story of World Champion Boxer Vinny Pazienza, who after a near fatal car crash, which left him not knowing if he'd ever walk again, made one of sports most incredible comebacks.

I'm from RI, where Vinny Paz is from so this is a really big deal around here. I still remember all of the news stories about Paz when he got into that car accident from when I was a kid. I'll definitely check this out.

Is it just me, or do like a dozen boxing movies come out per year? Tired and overdone genre.

If this one didn't look so cheap and clichéd I might have given it a chance. I always liked Vinny but I am sure there is a documentary that I could watch or something...

It's not just you. They are a dime a dozen, it seems.

Disagree with you guys... this one looks great, IMO. I can't stand the lead actor... but perhaps I'll give him a reprieve with this one.

I'd rather watch Hands of Stone than this one. At least Edgar Ramirez is likable. Granted, for all those that hate Teller (myself included) you can see him get punched in the face throughout the film. #silverlining

My brother in law is in this movie, he said Katey Segal still looks really good. Miles Teller definitely got in good shape for this, but doesn't have the punching capabilities that Paz possessed. Which is to be expected since he is only acting. That's about all I remember from the conversation from well over a year ago.

Yes. We've seen this exact same movie a dozen times in recent years. This movie looks completely fine and I'm sure it's entertaining but it doesn't seem to set itself apart from the other dozen at all. So what's the point of it?

I watched this today and I thought it was decent. The story is a bit different considering what happened to the main character in this movie. 3.5/5
