Banshee (S4E07) - "Truths Other Than the Ones You Tell Yourself" - 5/13/16

Fearing for Dawson's safety, Lucas and Brock (Matt Servitto) ramp up their efforts to hunt down Bode. With the Brotherhood poised to go to war with Proctor, Kurt looks to keep Maggie (Casey LaBow) safe while Calvin takes out his frustrations at the office. Job (Hoon Lee) settles a score with Leo Fitzpatrick (Dennis Flanagan), a Camp Genoa adversary.

Written by Adam Tagum; directed by Ole Christian Madsen.
7 of 8. Series Finale next week.

The wrap-up to the serial killer arc with Declan Bode was very anti-climatic. That was a pretty disappointing storyline this season.

However, the scene with Hood and Brock was fantastic.

at the Neo-Nazis fucking with Burton. Once those glasses come off you're fucked.

So, for next week's finale, looks like we're going to see an all out war between Proctor, the Neo-Nazis and Hood as well.

Loved the scene with Job and the hacker that fucked him. Good to have Job back to his old sassy self.

It's to the point where I don't even care about the Series Finale next week. It's like a patient on a ventilator, pull the cord.

To each his own but you guys are way too down on this season. It's still batshit crazy and awesome imho. The Hood / Brock and Job / Hacker scenes were classic. I have no clue what to expect in the series finale but Burton better be taking off his glasses at least once.

The scene with the Nazis' was stupid. Yeah, Burton kicked their asses but not showing it was stupid after having that kick ass fight with the indian girl last season. I kind of expected more of that. Round two with Carrie and the deputy bitch should have happened, also. Weak start to even weaker episode. The previous episode was better.

+1

How this disappoints me. Opening nudity yay. aww it is unclear and behind frosted steamy glass.

burton taking off glasses, oh yeah. camera 360 pan around to carnage, don't show it. awww

other demonic sacrifice gratuitously nude. dishku tastefully attired in tank top and boyshorts. awww

Hood ready to do some ass kicking...fizzle into some light pipe beating.

infer hood might break his thumb to get out of cuffs, and...no.

fuck with condemned man confession, then adhere to trope anyway.

ohhh last season, let's make every episode shorter.

it is like someone said let us take the fine legacy of Banshee, write its name in the sand and then piss on it.

since Brock knows Hoods secret, i say he dies next episode and kurt becomes new Sharif. Rock the casbah.

let's get that dude from dexter and do absolutely nothing with him.

the sole saving grace was Job's revenge. That was Banshee.

Maybe due to the budget cuts, they couldn't afford a stunt coordinator to choreograph that scene?

Yeah I agree after the awesome fight scene between Burton and Nola last season, this paled in comparison. For me, I kind of liked it because once the glasses came off, they were fucked.

The Jobe from this episode should've been in the whole season. His banter with Sugar and his revenge on that guy were great.

It took 7 episodes for the main characters to get back to themselves, and now it's over. Seems pointless that Rebecca was killed by this random dumbass, and the neo-Nazis might have played better over a full sized season. The 360 shot just came off as pretentious on a show that never looked away from the carnage.

Yup. They blew their budget on that on the previous episode.

I wonder if they'll try to spin Dushku's character into a new series.

i will always hold out for a Job/Sugar spin off where they walk the earth, meet people, get into adventures and be sassy. Ana pops in once in awhile to show her bush, and hi-jinks ensue.

I've been wondering that myself. The whole serial killer devil worship cult plot and Veronica Dawson just came out of nowhere, and didn't serve the dénouement of "Banshee" story at all.
