Deadpool Steelbook Best Buy Exclusive $19.99

It's only a "deal" compared to what the original price was: $29.99. That was a crime but so is trying to order this online for store pick up. The mobile app worked fine and I placed two separate orders for 2 different locations as insurance. Act quickly because this has already appeared on "Slick Deals" Good luck to all you manic steelbook collectors!

Yeah, that was pretty dumb to offer it one day for $20

$24.99 is the price in next week's Best Buy Sunday Ad.

Glad I was able to get the price adjustment done yesterday!

Word to the wise : Preorder Exclusive Steelbooks right away. Deal with price adjustments and/or returns later.

It's pretty lame that you can still pre-order but only for in-store pickup. If they have stock I don't see what the difference is.

Re: Deadpool Steelbook Best Buy Exclusive $19.99

Dang. Glad I pulled the trigger this morning for store pick-up at the $20 price.

Now I am just going to have to deal with my son bugging the shit out of me to watch it. He just turned 12 but I will have to rewatch it again to decide if he can watch it. I didn't let him see it in theaters but have been surprised at the amount of parents who have let their kids see it and they are way less liberal than I am.

It will be $20 again. And probably less. These are more than likely a mass-produced version vs. the actual embossed Euro-version which is highly more collectible.

And that is based on what, exactly? Yes, the Star Wars TFA and Mockingjay Part 2 Best Buy Exclusive Steelbooks were both mass-produced and abundantly available, but in the past year the Ant-Man, Mad Max Fury Road and Hateful 8 Best Buy-Exclusive Steelbooks were initial run only and in very limited amounts. There's no way to tell until they hit stores.
If anything, the inability to order it online for shipping indicates that this is a limited run.

Well, it's just a hunch, I have to admit. But I've been collecting Steelbooks for a few years now and look for certain things. I only have around 65 or so. The fact Best Buy's version didn't go with the embossed version, which in my opinion would have required a tad more in the manufacturing process and therefore a slightly higher price than what Best Buy wanted...means this was made in more quantities.

More than likely, eBay is the dumpster for Best Buy's crop of unavailable Deadpool Steelbooks. This happens a lot. eBayers will buy 20 or so at a time--especially when there is a price drop--then put them on eBay for $10-$15 above what you could get them initially. It's a gamble. More stock from Best Buy might come in, and the eBayer is left with unsold stock.

But I'm going to say there's a greater chance this steelbook will be available again, but doubt it will be on sale again. Again, since this steelbook was a "smooth and non-embossed" version, Best Buy can easily place another order through their supplier if demand is there. Much different than the embossed version which may not have had a ready facility for such design changes.

But overall, sure this might already be unavailable from Best Buy forever. I'm not going to say with 100% certainty, but what I can say, is the design is not so rare, as to expect such unavailability.

Re: Deadpool Steelbook Best Buy Exclusive $19.99

I just called Best Buy Customer Service over the price.

I DID order at $29.99 and did not read about this thread when the price was apparently dropped to $19.99. (Life happened unfortunately).

The weekly ad listed a price of $24.99 so I asked for a $5.00 price adjustment (which to Best Buy's credit, they applied IMMEDIATELY. I have the e-mail receipt already).

Thank you for that, I was pretty sure I had missed it. I guess they had at least a little more copies than they thought. I just want a nice steelbook for my favorite movie so far this year

Yep, same here in the Phoenix area...lotsa copies. Still glad I preordered and was able to price match at $19.99... you just never know when something is gonna be in short supply. Better safe than sorry. Plus I was able to use a $5 rewards certificate....$14.99 is pretty good

Re: Deadpool Steelbook Best Buy Exclusive $19.99

I got word from Best Buy to come pick up my steel book of Deadpool, but then I got an email from CinemaNow with a free rental code for it: DEADPOOLUSA

Maybe I will watch that and keep the disc shrink-wrapped.

Re: Deadpool Steelbook Best Buy Exclusive $19.99

Ha, got that notice too after I redeemed my digital copy last night on CinemaNow, lol. But that's alright, I want to listen to the commentaries and watch the extra stuff on the actual disc anyhow, so no issue with busting this bad boy open. The only thing that bugs me really about the steelbook is that they didn't build a second hub for the dvd. I prefer the slick finish and the upside down spine thing is a non-issue. Glad I did the pre-order, they were smooth out of them (checked the floor just out of curiousity but hundreds of copies of the blu and dvd).

All sold out in both Lexington, KY stores. People are nuts for Deadpool out here I guess (in steelbook cases anyway)

Re: Deadpool Steelbook Best Buy Exclusive $19.99

For any of y'all who were eligible for the $19.99 preorder price from May 2, 2016, who only got credit back for the $24.99 price, I encourage you to contact Best Buy and let them know you want the $19.99 preorder price honored.

They automatically credited me $5.40 for the $29.99 to $24.99 price. I emailed them letting them know I saw the price was $19.99 on May 2, 2016, 10:33 am CST. (I have a PDF printout of the item's URL page dated as such.) I let them know I had the printout so if they wanted it sent as proof to honor the price adjustment, I asked that they let me know where to send it. They didn't question it at all and another $5.40 was credited to my gift card.

And I'm happy to provide the PDF if you contact Best Buy and they do ask for proof. I'll keep it through the weekend. Just PM me.
