Gotta be honest...though i LOVE DC's Jay Garrick...This show's handling of him has been a huge let down. I'm glad they got his character on the show but shit, they fucked his powers and have him moping and crying off screen most of the time. It's unfortunate, I'm ok with him leaving.

yeah, they really didn't do much of anything noteworthy with him. That was a huge waste of potential. Barry could at least have done more in learning from his abilities. We got one little trick, but Jay should have taken on the role of Wells from last season in being the one to teach Barry a thing or two and pushing him to improve on his powers.
What a fucking waste.
What a fucking waste.

Can King Shark kill Wally, please? Wally just makes people want to punch him.

Well, the Zoom reveal was kind of anti-climatic. Still, I wonder where they are going with this now.

King Shark looked awesome, especially for TV.
And interesting with Zoom. Guess they had a plan for Jay after all!

Sort of made the most sense it was Jay. Could the guy in the cage be diggle?

If Jay is The Flash from Earth 2 and they already showed Jay from Earth 1, then where did Jay who is Zoom come from? It would seem Jay was withholding quite a bit of information on that regard. Maybe Zoom isn't from Earth 2 either...

Guesses on Zoom:
1. Future Earth-2 Jay. The guy in the mask is near-future Earth-2 Jay. Dead Jay is present Earth-2 Jay. Zoom just fucked up his timeline which is why the guy in the mask looked surprised.
2. Hunter Zolomon who was hiding in plain sight on Earth-1. Able to easily break through dimensions because he's faster than Barry.
3. Earth-3 Jay. Guy in the mask is Earth-3 Barry.
4. I don't know.

Fuck you, Geoff Johns. This is not my Wally.
The episode just sort of hits a wall when he's on. Also, there's waaaay too many fucking people in Star Labs and that know who the flash is. Those shots of when they were coming up with a plan was just ridiculous in terms of trying to figure out who's new to learning or remembering who knows who he is.

They've done great VFX work with King Shark, I can't believe they got him to look that great on a CW budget. He is easily this show's best-looking villain.
I pretty much knew the instant they didn't cast an older actor for Jay that we'd get a poor version of the character. I'll assume we haven't met the "real" Jay Garrick yet but having an impostor running around for half a season has pretty much ruined the character. This is one case where the writers out-thought themselves trying to come up with something cool and surprising for the comic book fans.
I don't think Zoom is from either Earth.
This episode must have been made with the intention of airing before last week's Arrow episode. That episode showed Diggle using some new trick with his helmet.

King Shark was awesome. Very impressive FX with it.
Enjoyed the little appearance by Diggle and Lyla.
Yeah Wally was a dick most of the episode, but at least he had that talk with Joe at the end to hopefully set the record straight.
The Zoom reveal was a little anti-climatic. But I bet there will be a big showdown between them in May.
Not surprising they're talking a 1 month break. There's only 8 episodes left this season.
I read that 24:Legacy's Pilot starts shooting in a few weeks. I bet after Sears wraps shooting that, he will come back to shoot the big episodes for May sweeps.

Apparently Grant Gustin is still shooting Supergirl right now. Here's recent set photos.

I don't like how they are handling Wallly. Also didn't like the secrets for no real reasons. Liked the episode overall though.

I thought the diggle mask conversation was just an excuse to later change it because it's been a major point of unhappiness from fans in how stupid it looks.

I've hoping they don't go the Superman 3 route of a split good/bad Jay.

The shark effects looked awesome, but frankly I think the effects for TV have improved vastly from a decade ago, so I don't get the surprise at that.
I too am very disappointed at the Zoom reveal. Makes no sense and really ruins the character stuff we have seen since Jay first arrived. I'm holding out hope they will eventually make it work.

Tony Todd certainly was an odd choice to do the voice if they were going to always go in that direction. Why not just have the same actor for Jay use some kind of voice modulator so it would make sense after the reveal? Oh well. Not the first time this otherwise great series made a mistake.
