I ordered 5 titles over a week ago. Two of them were to be released on Tuesday, The Dead Zone and Short Circuit. The other 4 are all "i on hand," but that damn Johnny #5 DVD still says "i to be released September 19." Yeah, and now it's September 20, going on the 21st. Nice job, Amazon. Thanks for not getting any of my pre-orders to me. Makes me think back to 8/29, when everything shipped 2 days after release date.

What can you do though? Most of us don't pay a dime in cash to amazon. Freeride and someday those echo gc's will come and powers our dvd buying. Amazon seems to know they have us and will give us second rate CS from now on. Just like CDNow was doing before freeride had amazon gcs.

One odd thing I've noticed about amazon is that they seem to ship new orders faster than they ship pre-orders for the same item. I pre-ordered the Evil Dead II Tin more than a month in advance and that order didn't ship until the friday after it was released. However, I ordered another copy (to give as a gift) on the Tuesday it was released and that order shipped the same day. This seems to be a trend - all my pre-orders take forever to ship, but if I order something on release day it ships almost immediately. Anyone else noticed this, or is it just me?

seriously though, free overnight shipping...hmm They even will do friday overnight, so you get it Saturday morning...
I've had 0 problems getting dvd's from them, and I especially like the free overnight service.

I am now waiting for Four DVDs from Amazon.slow. Three supposedly released a few days ago and one that says in stock. Oh cr*dd make that FIVE; I've been waiting two months for the Story of Riki (hopefully I am getting the new version).
Only thing that isn't their fault is the Beyond being delayed to 10/10.
Outpost.com is cool!! I had major problems with their shipper; but it still isn't Outpost's fault so I give them a 10 for the free shipping and no bloody tax!!!
If Outpost had a bigger DVD selection; I would be a serious customer. I got Stormriders for $19.99 (out the door!!)

...the shine continues to come off Amazon.com. Yahoo has gotten rid of them as well. They now show Barnes & Noble as the featured storefront for your search items. When it rains it pours.

Actually, market analysts said that this is a good sign for Amazon.com, since it no longer needs this type of promotion to get business.

You know calling them works for most of the time for me, I call for every order, and it ships 3 hours later.

But, you must admit that it shouldn't be necessary. ...10 times?

Yahoo Who??
Check out my time of post - it appears to be prior to the previous post here... strange - I think someone's clock is screwed up. I just checked mine and it is fine.

Too bad some people don't read the fine print. Amazon did not renew their contract with Yahoo. Yahoo did not "get rid of them". Make sure you know your stuff before making such statements please.
