Cool seeing Rachel Luttrell (Teyla from Stargate Atlantis) as that Nail Gun girl.
I checked her IMDB profile and she's only worked sporadically since Atlantis ended.
Charlotte Ross looked incredible in those dresses. Really liked her moments with Felicity. Emily Bett and her have very good & believable chemistry as mother-daughter.
The plot in this episode felt like more of a set up to bring William into peril next week. The HIVE bombing plot for the debate was really nothing to get too excited about.

The Demo Squad were actually a nasty set of villains for the gang, much better than the usual fodder Arrow comes up with.
Anyone want to hazard a guess what exactly they are looking for on the island in Oliver's past? If they don't find some relic or artifact that is instantly recognizable from DC Comics, I might actually drop the show. The flashbacks have once again become a noose around this show's neck. I guess the blow is softened since they spend little time on them anymore.

I'm hoping they wrap up the flashbacks this season. There really doesn't seem to be much more time between them and when he was 'rescued'. So I really hope they don't continue the island flashbacks into next season although I figure they'll find some way. I thought they should have been done with it after the end of season 2, but nope.
I'm guessing the fact they have William now likely means his mother is actually dead. I honestly don't see her letting them take William voluntarily; unless they kidnapped him while she wasn't around and therefore she doesn't know whats going on. I would half-expect that if she was alive and not captured or something that she might have reached out to Ollie to let him know, but that'd probably be a stretch anyhow. She doesn't know he's the Arrow and up until just recently he wasn't in the picture at all.

The Smoak mama drama seemed pretty contrived, I mean is it so hard for the chief of police in a cartoonishly dangerous city to say he's being targeted by bad guys?

They only have one more season's worth of flashbacks to go through and then you'll all be free of them.

Or... better yet... end Arrow once the origin is complete and start a JLA show.

The sheer number of death fake outs was ridiculous. Nearly every character almost died in this episode, except the two we know aren't going to die, Oliver and Felicity.

Best part of this season has been Charlotte Ross. Still got it. Can we get an episode a scene like the famous NYPD Blue bathroom scene?
Personally I would be good with the bad guys managing to take out Speedy and Canary during one big fight. The show would be so much better for it.
If the big reveal during the flashbacks is a device they could use to win, why wouldn't Oliver already know about it and be using it now?
