So voting for BD50 is voting for the first group of movies? Or will all the movies eventually be released on the winning format?

And how are we supposed to know this? A small intro would have helped make it seem less spammy. And asking whether or not we prefer 25 or 50Gb just seems like he's burning shit at home or something. Great, so he's legit. What are these sources he speaks of? And what are these movies? I actually like Indian cinema, just never heard of these before. Then again, I'm not out looking for the latest and greatest. But if this is for something to be legitimately released in the US, then I'm all for it. Just a weird way to start a first post.

Honestly, I'd be interested in the musicals. 25 or 50GB isn't an issue really. Of course, it depends on how much content there is.

It's all about having the space you need for the best quality. I've seen plenty of BD-50 discs that still had noticeable compression artifacts and banding, but also BD-25's that looked perfect as the material was short enough to encode with minimal compression. When doing homemade DVDs, I burn to DVD-5s (single-layer) if it will fit as those are less expensive, but if it goes even one minute over then I go ahead and use a dual-layer disc rather than compress it further.

Re: Seyons Tamil Blu-ray Movies BD25 or BD50?

For the most part, films longer than 90 minutes usually require a BD-50 even with the latest and greatest AVC encodes. Shorter films can usually be stuck on a BD-25 with no apparent compression artifacts. This is a gross shorthand but there you have it.

Smaller labels should contact Blu-ray authoring firms that know what they are doing. A couple of the compressionists regularly used by Arrow Video post over on Blu-ray.com. I mention this because Arrow Video puts out solid encodes.
