Remember this season was shot in Spring 2015. So there are potential spoilers out there.

I didn't think I could be any more surprised after seeing Obama in the Chan Loh Tribe then I scrolled down and saw Gandhi in the Gondol Tribe!

Weren't they revealed a long time ago? I've known about Scot Pollard for along time and even watched an interview or two with him.
I love how they have him kneeling in his photo. I think he's even slightly taller than other huge sports stars they brought in on prior seasons.

Thought Beast-mode Cowboy would be on the "brawn" tribe.
Could've put him on the "brains" tribe for shits and giggles.

Again with the interchangeable "tribes."
Just look at the pics & see how many either would fit on at least two tribes (if not all three). No way of judging "brains" yet, but it certainly seems that some of the "beauty" contestants are brawnier that that tribe; likewise, it seems that some of the other tribespeople are better-looking than some of the "beauties."
Any bets on how long this season until the artificial division gets abandoned? I suppose they think they need some type of hook to name the season, but they could just as easily pick the same people & draw straws for all the effect it has on the results.
Still trying to figure out what the "social media marketer" and "ice cream entrepreneur" do.

I'd also say that a social media marketer sells stuff on Facebook and the ice cream entrepreneur owns and drives an ice cream truck.
The first BBB season was a good one so it was inevitable that they would try this gimmick again.

Lots of big companies have dedicated social media marketers now...basically they just work with a certain brand team and update Twitter/Facebook pages for it.
And yeah, how are some of these considered brainy/brawny/beauties? Is it just PC crap that Ghandi is now considered a beauty?

Hopefully never. Isn't it bad enough that they brought back this BBB stunt?
Proof of the ridiculousness of the stunt. The "brawn" tribe looks to be the weakest other than having Pollard on the team. And if it's like the last BBB season, I expect the "beauty" team to show the most "brain" power.
At least the "blood" stunt actually equals some difference in the game since they each player has to be concerned with both themselves and their partner.

Wow, I wonder why so far in advance? I thought they typically shot the spring season in late summer/early fall. That must suck to be final 3 & have to wait an entire year for results.

They are generally filmed pretty far out in advance, though I think having the previous season, 31: Cambodia, be the one with the viewers choosing the players during the live finale show for 30: Worlds Apart threw off their schedule, and they probably had to switch Cambodia and Kaoh Rong around so Cambodia would be the next season aired after Worlds Apart.

But everybody has caught on to the artificial nature of most of these "theme" divisions. As pointed out, at least the "blood" seasons actually require some sort of genetic link. Don't think they'll ever do another "race" season, and the gender thing seems milked pretty dry, too. Even the "heroes," "favorites," etc. seasons have questionable choices, and the others such as this one and the "Collar" seasons are very flimsy premises at best.
The big question still remains unanswered: How often does Probst dye his hair?

Still not sold on this concept. The Beauty thing screws it up, I think, as there's no real objective reason it would be an asset even if the players fit the molds. Brawn vs Brains might work, if the Brawn team was clearly stronger and the Brains team was clearly smarter.
I think if they must do this sort of thing, there are much more interesting things they could do. Why not have the 3 teams that each has different strengths that apply to the game: one group of people has outdoor/survival type skills (Army Rangers, camping experts, Bear Grylls types), one group is filled with people who have advanced social skills or are adept at manipulating others (psychologists, police interrogators, poker players), and the final group is filled with various sorts of winning 'competitors' (sports stars, dance champs, spelling bee winners, whatever).

They have had plenty of ex military folks on the show. Even Richard Hatch (didn't tell )
The problem is any kind of real tribe divide translates to extreme stereotyping and would make challenges (that all teams run) all but impossible to create in ways that would be fair to all. I really wish they would just go back to the way they cast the first few seasons. A group of equally capable, very interesting people, brought in to compete with each other. No theme stunts. No stunt casting hoping to result in drama. And no "ex" anything... (TV celebs, sports stars, people from other reality shows) or family members of past players.
