Great ending. Scott and Stonebridge's last stand like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid was awesome.
at the fake out with them dying in a hale of gunfire in "Plan A" I almost believed it for a second.
And Scott got laid one last time after being near death. Poor Christie Bryant. Scott is like the harbinger of death when it comes to sex.
Glad they got to ride off to Vegas in the sunset.
They definitely left things open for them to come back again. I sure hope the movie gets greenlit and they have an even bigger and badass adventure.
The show was a hell of a ride.

So was this season on par with the excellent first? Or the average second? Or good third?
Thoughts? I haven't started this season yet.

The worst season was Strike Back Origins, the original UK series with Richard Armitage. That was only 6 episodes, but it was a slog to get through.

Man, I am going to miss this show. I did enjoy the Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid scenario at the end. I really do hope they get this into a movie franchise. I would see it multiple times in the theater just to support the show. Good send off.

I think season 4 was the 2nd best season behind 1. Loved the locations and the threat scale was bigger. it just felt like a bigger production overall.

(compared to us strike back though it is the "worst" season. just not overall horrible?)

Favorite show of all time. Last season was the weakest IMHO, but the weakest season of Strike Back is better than the best season of most other shows.
I hope these two guys get lots of work and fame, but it's too bad (for me) they went to the NETWORKS. Watered down, unwatchable pablum (The Player, the Dragon Tattoo Lady thing).
But I'll be rewatching Strike Back 20 years from now.

I never buy TV shows on Blu-Ray but once "Strike Back: The Definitive Edition" hits the shelves I'll be all over it. I think I've watched the previous seasons all the way through three times now.

To be perfectly honest, once the "Bomb at the UN" scheme was thwarted, I'm not sure what was going on, -why Section 20 was sold out, and why they were being chased by the mercs. However, I still enjoyed the hell out of it and hate to see the series go. I sort of binge=watched this season and it was particularly strong with a bunch of great set-pieces. Of course, I kind of hate those series and movies where pretty much everyone they come in contact with has to be violently killed (such as the farmer who helped them, or pretty much everybody but Scott and Stonebridge) but its pretty much par for the course with these things

This was probably the weakest season of the show. Time to end it before it deteriorated further.

Strike Back is at it's strongest when the scale feels bigger and Stonebridge/Scott are able to hop around to multiple locations. Having season 4 take place in Thailand, Russia, North Korea, the UK and Switzerland gave the show a more global feel.

Yeah, season 2 was most definitely the worst.

I agree about the locations, but Michelle Yeoh was just fucking terrible, and I usually like her. And the whole thing with his son was so fucking stupid. It got better the second half of the season, but the first half really shit the bed, both writing and acting.

Just finished this up today. Strike Back was certainly a show that liked to ride the rail between entertaining and silly. It's no wonder that they disbanded Section 20. I mean who take the job of command what with it's 0% survival rate. While there were a couple foreign agents that lived, outside of the John Porter season no named Section 20 officer (non Scott/Stonebridge) survived the show.

Just binged the whole season on BD and already miss the show. I hope the feature film happens.
So after Die Hard in the UN, we got Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Lots of insane action this season, and even though it made sense plotwise, I missed Scott banging all the hot chicks. And I admit they had me believing the dog tags.
I agree that season 2 was my least favorite.

Finally finished this show
Bloody amazing. Action was consistently of a high standard, better than most movies
Locke not reading the betrayal was a bit silly
Good ending to an unreal show
