The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story (Lifetime) -- 10/3/15

An international pop culture phenomenon, "Beverly Hills, 90210" ruled the ‘90s television landscape and reigned as the top teen show for nearly a decade during which Jason Priestley, Luke Perry, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling became household names. "The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story" reveals the roller coaster ride behind the show’s first four seasons, highlighting the drama between cast members and producers both on and off-set as they journeyed together from near-cancelation to unparalled fame and success.

"The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story" cast includes:

• AARON SPELLING: Dan Castellaneta ("The Simpsons")

• DARREN STAR: Adam Korson ("Hot in Cleveland")

• BRENDA WALSH/SHANNEN DOHERTY: Samantha Munro ("Degrassi: The Next Generation")

• BRANDON WALSH/JASON PRIESTLEY: Max Lloyd-Jones ("Switched at Birth")

• KELLY TAYLOR/JENNIE GARTH: Abbie Cobb ("Suburgatory")

• DYLAN MCKAY/LUKE PERRY: Jesy McKinney ("Chapter III: Nightmare")

• DONNA MARTIN/TORI SPELLING: Abby Ross ("Once Upon a Time")

• STEVE SANDERS/IAN ZIERING: David Lennon ("Restless Virgins")

• ANDREA ZUCKERMAN/GABRIELLE CARTERIS: Michele Goyns ("The Town That Came A-Courtin'")

• DAVID SILVER/BRIAN AUSTIN GREEN: Ross Linton ("Of Them All")

•VALERIE MALONE/TIFFANI-AMBER THIESSEN: Alyssa Lynch ("The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story")

Executive produced by Peter M. Green ("Mean Girls 2") and Howard Braunstein ("The Informant!"), "The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story" is produced by Christian Bruyere ("A Girl’s Best Friend"), written by Jeff Roda (three-time "Black List" writer) and directed by Vanessa Parise ("Perfect High").

Following the premiere of the movie, the special, "Beyond The Headlines: Beverly Hills, 90210" will air, reuniting cast members from the popular ‘90s series to talk about the notorious fights, breakups, and relationship dramas while working on the show. "Beyond the Headlines: Beverly Hills, 90210" is produced by NBC News’ Peacock Productions.

Always good for a laugh. The Melrose Place one airs next weekend.

They used the same actress for Tits-n-Ass Thiessen that they used for Saved By The Bell.

Did they make her get implants?

Fully anticipating this to suck. Plus, those actors look nothing like their counterparts.

There is a Tori Spelling 1 hour Lie Detector special that airs after this. She reportedly admits to having sex with at least 2 of her male co-stars. Well, I believe BAG was one of them.

So you got Dan Castellaneta (Homer Simpson), interesting. Happy Anya from Degrassi has gotten something outside the show. Young Emma from Once Upon a Time, Abby Ross, should have stayed away from this, though. Wonder how much of a train wreck this will be.

I DVR'd and I just finished watching it. While it wasn't great, I didn't think it was a huge trainwreck. The Full House movie was worse in my opinion. I don't think I will watch this movie again. It was kind of fun to watch for nostalgia reasons. The movie brought up some things that I forgotten about. They mentioned the BH 90210 merchandise. I remembered how some kids had the lunch boxes and school supplies. My sister had a t-shirt and a board game. I also remember the dolls that were made of some of the characters.

Used to be a huge 90210 fan so I gave this a watch. Crazy how much Abbie Cobb looks like Jennie Garth. I remember she played a small part on the new 90210 & remember thinking the same thing then. She could pass for her twin. Anyway, the movie was a total cheese-fest of course.

She was the best casting in the movie. She also kind of talked a bit like Jennie too.

Lol how they worked in a Sharknado reference.

They also left out David's blond friend. He was a cast member for the first bunch of episodes. Also, where were the parents' actors.

Nat played by Joe E. Tata was also left out.

Re: The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story (Lifetime) -- 10/3/15

Cheesy as hell, but surprisingly watchable. This could have easily been a 4 hour movie had they covered the entire series run. Adding Tiffani Thiessen at the end was almost a throwaway scene.

I agree that Abbie Cobb was a solid Jennie Garth. Almost a clone of her.

Dan Castellaneta was quite funny as Aaron Spelling.

Only thing I thought was annoying was the cartoonish "Network reps"

Looking forward to seeing what they do with Melrose Place next week.

Nope. 60% of it focused on the actors and their behind the scenes shenanigans and I would say 40% focused on Spelling and Darren Starr
