For some reason these 2 guys have been linked together since long before I was born. Pacino and De Niro. Their names synonymous with one another. Both acting giants, widely considered to be 2 of the best of alltime. Both New Yorkers. Both came up together in the same generation. Both known for roles in Mob films. Appeared 3 times together in the same film. The Godfather II, Heat and Righteous Kill. De Niro has about twice as many screen acting credits.

Its almost silly to ask who was the better actor, since they're both so great. (although feel free to give your 2 cents on that as well) Career wise though. Who do you think has the better filmography. The better career.

I would go with DeNiro cause he probably has more range, he do a drama like Raging Bull and Godfather 2, and then pull off a great comedic role like Midnight Run.

Early Pacino was a great, but he is a cariacture (spelling?) of himself today as he just totally overplays every role he is in. (Except Donnie Brasco as that is one of his most underrated roles.)

Still loved them both in Heat!

Yeah. De Niro. Pacino let himself fall into a pit where he kind of went into the negative w/ his career. Much more so than De Niro.

I voted DeNiro despite the turning point in his career in the year 2000 when he chose to star in Rocky and Bullwinkle. That was, decidedly, when his career took a different turn.

De Niro has probably made triple the number of movies Pacino has.

Maybe De Niro since he has done more stuff which means he is probably more employable compared to Al.

Hard to choose and it is comparable to picking Montana or Young where both are great.

Where is Meet the Parents on this list?

Honestly, I think Pacino is the better actor (I think Scarface might take down any role). However, De Niro has longevity. Hell, Neighbors even did a bit of some of his most famous roles. And with hooking up with Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, and David O Russell, his career is still going strong. Sure, he's had some questionable roles (Grudge Match, for instance) but I don't remember the last time Pacino had a hit. At least Robert is giving some good minor roles. And I'm interested to see how The Intern does. So, for better career, it goes to De Niro.
