Apple TV - gaming support includes Harmonix exclusive, Disney Infinity 3.0

So, you're looking at $149 for a 32 GB unit and $199 for 64 GB. It has the same A8 processor as the iPhone 6. The remote has motion controls, and iPhones/iPads/iPod Touches can be used as controllers in certain games. There are third-party gamepads too, obviously. You can play on one device and pick up where you left off on another as well.
Games!
Galaxy on Fire: Manticore Rising:
Rayman Adventures:
Shadowmatic:
Transistor:
Guitar Hero Live:
Beat Sports (an exclusive from Harmonix!):

Looks like apps (and therefore games?) are limited to 200MB. Not a great sign... and probably being misinterpreted.

Well, the system only has a max of 64 gigs, and that's not just for games.

This isn't a game console, it's a TV box with some game functionality. Gaming will never be the main focus of this device.

Yeah, I'm totally into this for the video features. I'll mess with the gaming stuff as a curiosity.

I don't see myself ever buying an Apple TV, so hopefully no one is making exclusives for this that's worth a damn.
The worst part is that Steelseries controller using the same button layout as the XBox but switching the colors around

This is an AppleTV household anyway, but I'm super excited to see Plex and VLC add functionality on top of my massive iTunes library.
As far as gaming goes, the thing that intrigues me the most is the "pass-off" functionality they demoed: coming home and picking up on the TV where you left off on the phone/pad and vice versa. Why this is important to me is that Nintendo is known to be bringing mobile games to these devices. If Apple can, with their ecosystem, do what Nintendo(n't) hasn't up to now*, it will be totally worth it**.
*I have always contended that at least Nintendo's VC should do this from Wii(U) to (3)DS, but they never have. They never even merged everything under a user's ID, just disparate consoles. Hell, the DS family should be optional controllers to the WiiU EXACTLY like Apple is doing with the device you already carry with you all day, every day. Can't wait to see You Don't Know Jack on this without the Jackbox Party Pack's internet latency!
**Depending on titles. Not Nintendo, but I would be more inclined to revisit some classic 3rd party games like Dragon Quest and Phoenix Wright if I could move seamlessly from couch to waiting room to plane and not have to rely on a purely gaming mobile device.

Not a surprise though, Plex is literally on every platform except the ATV. Curious how many people they'll piss off if they make it PlexPass only for 6 months.
