My journey watching Sons of Anarchy...
so i just discovered this show and right from the onset i am hooked.
the characters, the plots, the dialogue. so good. great characters and great actors playing these layered, rich characters.
i have no idea why i had no interest in this show when it was on FX, but now i am hooked and found a new show to love.
so cool!
anyone else take a journey similar?

Can't wait until you get to season 3. I doubt you will have those same feelings.

I watched all of it last year. It just confirmed my belief that 4-5 seasons is optimal for a tv show and that they invariably turn to crap after that.

I finished this show a few months ago. I really enjoyed it. Season three was the weakest season for me. It does have some great holy shit moments. I did pick up the series on blu ray also.

I've never heard of this show... but S3 sucks and S7 is preposterous... absolutely preposterous.

I am working on this one now myself, currently up to the Season 2 finale.
Loving it so far. And I like coming here after each ep to read through it's particular thread.

Kurt Sutter's the worst. Instead of drawing interesting characters and letting them dictate the story, he comes up with over-the-top scenarios and let's those inane moments drive the characters instead.
I thought season 1 was alright - but it got worse every season, and by the last season, it pretty much took a dump on my chest. Of the shows that get over-praised, it's one of the worst, right up there with Walking Dead.

I'm pretty sure Sutter was wildly praising it after every show on Twitter, while telling everyone how he didn't understand what the big deal was with Justified.
(extends arms somewhat awkwardly and walks away from thread in slowmo as Katey Segal sung montage kicks in)

Sons of Anarchy, even the latter seasons is no where near as bad as people like to make out
If you liked the first season, you will enjoy watching all 7
You just need to have a thick skin and let a lot of the sloppy writing go and excessive screentime given to Mrs Sutter
but overall, there are plenty of great scenes per series

It's a fun ride... I enjoyed the heck out of watching SoA BUT it's ridiculous at times and completely ridiculous the rest of the time. Turn your brain off and you'll enjoy it plenty
