I was invested in 3 or 4 seasons of this bullshit and I'm morbidly curious as to how it ends but no fucking way am I pissing an hour into watch it, let alone a couple of seasons worth to catch up.
So how did it finally end?

They just had to have Pope show up at the end. -_-
Why the hell does Mason keep making babies during the war? lol. Should have waited till after everything, especially after the whole thing that ended up being Lexi.
So did Ben's spikes go poof too, and if so how would that possibly not have harmed him? Kind of seems like a goof on the writers part if you ask me, but maybe I'm just overthinking things.
Well they sure did move on fairly quickly. Did it say how much time had passed before that whole speech at the end? If so I missed it.
Good bye Falling Skies; Hello new horizons.

Well, that was a very anti climatic ending. Felt very rushed. Especially how Tom managed to kill the Espheni Queen. at this massive war starting because the fuckng cavemen killed her daughter over 1500 years ago.
I guess Tom became the POTUS?
at Pope's final appearance and the CGI crowd in Washington DC.

Whatever, it's over.
Now we can all watch Noah Wiley in The Librarians, a much more plausible and enjoyable show.

I felt that it ended well enough. Of course it does come off like if there was no magic bullet to make them all turn to dust (because they are somehow connected?) They would have lost because even with all their wins it was small within the overall picture.

as much as I can't believe I'm saying this, but the finale really should have been 2 hours. Felt very rushed.
LOL at the motivation of the aliens... and LOL at the convenient idea that if the queen dies then every other member of the species goes up in dust.
The queen did look cool (up until it imploded)... and I'm pretty sure that was Tricia Helfer's voice.
Pope's return was laughably bad, even by Falling Skies' standards.
Oh well. The fact this got 5 seasons and Firefly got 1 proves there is no God.

So in the other seasons it said the Espheni were there to build an army and get resources, then move on. They talked about a great evil is why they were doing bad things. They did whatever it took to build an army to fight this unknown threat. Then in the last episode, all that is ignored and the reason is revenge from the Queen for her daughter dying on earth. Did the writers just forget the story line at the end?

Her daughter, space traveller, killed by lesser earthlings, 1500 years ago.
Is it just me, or did it feel like half the episode was spent walking through the tunnels?
And, of course, the magic Pope. Not only survives the blast, but somehow knows exactly where Tom has gone to 'revive' his wife (and 'their' unborn child). Maybe they should've FF to after the birth, where we could see they tricked her into birthing a new Aspheni queen.
As Koby mentioned, I was also wondering about Ben's spikes blowing up like all the other alien stuff.
Argh. Not a surprise that it was a crap finale, but still disappointing.

So cavemen beat aliens with mechs and star ships using sticks. Makes sense to me. Or did the aliens forget to pack the mechs?

Travel time to DC was the better part of a day, right? So Tom takes the rotting corpse of his dead wife with him back to that place and hopes an 8+ hour decayed body can be revived? Not only that, it is revived none the worse for wear?

Having come back for the finale, that short explanation for the show's entire backstory had me rolling on the floor. That felt like something they slapped together after the episode had been finished and realized they never explained the queen's motivation.

Wonder how and why this show managed to last five seasons.
