Would you want to see a reunion sequel to Can't Hardly Wait?
I love the original.
Apparently Jennifer Love Hewitt would get behind a sequel. 20 years is coming up...
I love reunion movies. If the biggest star of the movie is down for another round, I don't think it is out of the question that this could happen...although she isn't really a movie star anymore. The only person I see who really wouldn't want to come back is Charlie Korsmo since he isn't an actor anymore. There are so many bit parts that were played by actors who went on to have decent careers.

Jennifer Love Hewitt starred in 1998’s Can’t Hardly Wait, a teen comedy with an ensemble cast that included Lauren Ambrose and Seth Green — and she’s ready for a reunion.
“Can’t Hardly Wait reunion movie anyone?” she tweeted Sunday. “Let’s get them to make it!”
A weekend viewing of the film by Cinespia at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Forever Cemetary inspired Hewitt’s burst of nostalgia, which also included a sentimental tweet about her time working on the film: “So proud to have been a part of this movie!” she wrote.

I liked the 1st movie also, but would there be enough interest for a 20 year reunion sequel?
This sounds like something that might work as a Crackle movie since they are owned by Sony, who made the 1st movie, and are apparently producing original content. Or it could be a straight to video sequel. I can't see Sony wanting to finance and promote a full fledged theatrical sequel.

Some other cast members were at the screening too:
Sames like other actors want it too. BULLCORN!

I voted NO
I enjoyed the original and it was a nice cast of characters, but I dont see what sort of continuation we need with the cast, really.

Well, American Reunion pulled it off a few years ago. It wasn't a big hit, but it did respectably. But, then again those were the characters from American Pie, one of the highest grossing comedies in the late 90's/early 2000s.

Yeah but we were told what happened to the characters at the end of the movie (Can't Hardly Wait)
Plus, American Pie was a series before 'Reunion' so we got to follow them after school.
I just dont see what could have happened after HS with these guys that we need to catch up with them 20 years later. OK, cool, Amanda and Preston get married ..... ok so what. The whole idea behind CHW was Preston chasing after Amanda. In between that were some small stories of other characters who were simply a small time out form the Preston-Amanda story.
Just my thoughts anyway.

I have a soft spot for Can't Hardly Wait since I graduated high school the same year the movie came out.
I can see a decent sequel if, much like the original, the whole movie takes place over the course of one night. In this case the evening of the 20 year reunion instead of a graduation night party.

This is one of my favorites. Not sure how it would work with a followup, but I'd be game for it.

The reunion movies I'd want to see are all impossible because the original casts are all dead!

I think the only people who want this are the out-of-work actors who were in the original... namely Jennifer Love-Hewitt. It was hardly a classic.

I love CHW, since I was the same age as the characters, but I had to vote no on this. Just can't see what they would do with it.
Unless JLH showed her tits in it. Then I'm all in!

American Pie was different because it was filled with strong characters that could be developed further.

I used to really like Can't Hardly Wait, not sure what I would think of it now. As much as I enjoy JLH, and would watch her in this, I have no desire for a sequel.

FYI, I couldn't find a specific Can't Hardly Wait thread, but they are releasing A 20 Year Reunion Blu-ray Special Edition on Oct. 9th. You can preorder it for $8.39 on Amazon. The 10 Year Reunion Edition Blu-ray has been out of print for a while.
