Norm MacDonald is Colonel Sanders

The KFC commercial is so new that there is barely a picture on the web and no video to embed.

I just love Norm so much that anything that puts him back in front of the public is exciting to me.

Here's another Norm on KFC video that's a little different

You can see him every week on Last Comic Standing.

Yeah, never seen Norm's version until this thread. All the ads I see are Hammond.

Norm's Sanders says any other person is just an impersonator and he is the real one so looks like a storyline happening.

So the gag is a bunch of SNL alumni will play the Colonel at some point?

Wonder if Victoria Jackson will have a shot.

It's weird to see Norm sell out like this. Here I was hoping all this time he was working on Dirty Work 2.

Who would have expected the voice of the Hardee's Star to sink so low.

Former SNL star and Canadian Norm MacDonald is the new Colonel Sanders

Looks like they're just trying to stir up controversy. Norm's pretty damn funny in these ads.

KFC US chief marketing officer Kevin Hochman says: "Other than not quite looking like him, his voice being different, and his inability to cook the world's best chicken, we thought Norm was the perfect choice to play the Real Colonel. I think the fans will agree."

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/er_owYCDZUk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It may sound odd, but KFC will probably be hoping the new ads will polarize viewers. The CEO of KFC parent company Yum Brands, Greg Creed, said one out of five people hated the Hammond ad campaign. But he added that it was great news "because at least now they have an opinion. They're actually talking about KFC, and you can market to love and hate; you cannot market to indifference."

The fall ad campaign refers to KFC's history and sees Macdonald playing the Colonel in his wood-paneled office.

I love it. It's like KFC heard all the people bitching about Hammond's portrayal and replied with "fuck you, here's someone worse".

Norm did have a really good Podcast (if you like Norm). But it didn't come back. Maybe it wasn't generating enough revenue.

Yeah it was great. Especially loved the Gilbert Gottfried and Russell Brand episodes. But what the heck was Larry king doing on there?

Re: Norm MacDonald is Colonel Sanders

I saw this advert last night on TV and it gave me a big WTF moment. I love Norm, but this seems really low and a total cash grab. I know he told the story on Stern about once going to audition for the Aflac Duck shit, so i guess he is up for anything if the cash is right. Maybe his gambling addiction is kicking in again and he needs some revenue.

And Norms podcast was really funny. A couple of the later ones were weird though as he seemed almost combative with the guest. I also love the Sports Show he did on Comedy Central, even though i generally hate most sports. The guy is really funny, but never seems to get the credit he deserves.

Just wished with all the money spent on these ads KFC could put more money into making better food.

Re: Norm MacDonald is Colonel Sanders

My big issue with KFC is they must use midget chickens. They have the smallest chicken pieces I've ever seen.
