Links to Discovery.com redirect to Discovery store.
I'm discovering that links I make to the main www.discovery.com site redirect to:
http://store.discovery.com/
With a referral link included in the URL. I'm guessing is because the forum software wants to insert a referral link, but is redirecting all discovery.com links to store.discovery.com, and that site doesn't know what to do with main site URLs.
An example link below:
http://www.discovery.com/tv-shows/my...-team-special/
http://www.discovery.com/tv-shows/my...-team-special/
http://store.discovery.com/

An example link below:
Code:

Re: Links to Discovery.com redirect to Discovery store.
VigLink is modifying these links. It's a snippet of Javascript that takes URLs on the page and "bounces" them through api.viglink.com. That's where the disconnect is. The links are being passed to VigLink as www.discovery.com, but they're coming out as store.discovery.com.
I'm not sure if there's some setting that Internet Brands can fiddle with in VigLink's dashboard. If there's not, I'm not sure there's anything that can be done (short of using a URL shortener or something).
