Dear Club Nintendo Members,
Thank you for your continued loyalty to Nintendo.
We launched Club Nintendo 6 years ago in North America, and we’re grateful for all of the feedback that our members have provided on your experiences with our products.
In order to focus on planning for a new customer loyalty program for our fans, we’ve decided to wind-down the Club Nintendo program. We are deeply thankful to our members for being a part of Club Nintendo for all of these years.
We will share details about our new program at a later date. For now, please see the schedule below for information on the discontinuation timeframe for Club Nintendo.
All Coins will be deleted when Club Nintendo accounts are closed on July 1, 2015. As a result, to give our members the best opportunity to use their Coins, we will add dozens of downloadable games and a limited quantity of exclusive reward items to the rewards catalog in February. In addition, as a small token of appreciation for your loyalty, all Club Nintendo members will receive a free download code for Flipnote Studio 3D in February 2015. Please visit here for information on the software and how to get the download code.

Excited to see what physical rewards might be waiting in the wings. I started getting into Club Nintendo once most of the good stuff was in the rear view mirror, and we didn't get a lot of the best stuff from the overseas clubs. A Mario t-shirt is the only thing I've actually redeemed my points to get, and that's just because I had a bunch of points about to expire. 70 points away from platinum this year and 1,490 points in my wallet... Elite rewards this year are just downloadable games (again), so I probably won't go out of my way to make platinum.

I just signed up for a Club Nintendo account less than 2 weeks ago when I picked up a Wii U. Great timing
I guess I should at least enter the codes that came with the console and the few games I have before the program is discontinued. Hopefully I can get something out of it.
On the flip side, maybe this is a good thing? Maybe they are going to start something up like PS+ with some free games every month?

One was something like the more you buy, the greater discounts you get. The other was inviting friends to buy/play a particular game would get you some sort of reward/discount.

Get those Nintendogs greeting cards before they're gone!
---
I joined CN a little over a year ago. So far I've gotten two of those kick-ass game card cases, and a free download of Donkey Kong Country 3D for making Platinum last year. I've made Gold for this year, but I'm around 225 coins away from making Platinum so that probably won't be happening, especially since things like the New 3DS and Majora's Mask won't have any CN pins.
After spending 400 coins on another game card case a few weeks ago, I only have around 175 coins left to buy stuff with. Since there probably won't be any decent physical rewards available for that small amount of coins, I'll probably wind up getting a download like Super Mario Land or something.

I just hit Platinum today (1060 coins)... I'm thinking of blowing my points on something stupid!
... but then I read this (that they added to the "Get Games & Rewards" page) today:
Guess I'll wait until February.

I went through and put in all of my outstanding codes that I could find, although I believe I have some more laying around that will put me over the Platinum level. I'll be holding out until the February update to spend them as there is only 4 items, and 8 digital games available right now.
I did find I have extra unused codes for Pokemon White 2, and Pokemon Soul Silver both worth 40 coins if someone has some to trade for the same point value (that I haven't entered).

Re: Important Information on Club Nintendo Program Discontinuation (01/20/2015)
NES Remix Pack for the Wii U pushed me over the top to Platinum. I'm at 1,575 coins now, plus whatever I get for few post-play surveys I should have by the end of the week. I think the most 'expensive' thing Club Nintendo ever put up in North America is the Luigi's Mansion statue for 1,500 coins, so hopefully I can get whatever neat stuff they make available. I'm doofy enough to have written a script that looks for new products on Club Nintendo every few minutes.
I don't know what sorts of things we'll get, but if there are a few soundtrack CDs, a neat t-shirt or two, or some plush dolls to choose from, that'd be nice (even if I could only get one).

I just tried entering in a couple of old game codes, but neither one gave me any additional points/coins.
What's the best way to contact a CS person to help me? Thanks in advance!

You missed the boat on the CD, unfortunately. Registration for that ended on January 13th.

The new physical rewards and digital games are up! Kind of a drag that there's nothing more "collectible" -- no plush dolls, no statuettes, no Amiibo, no soundtrack CDs, etc. -- but the selection of games is pretty tremendous. I got the Mario t-shirt and the Zelda messenger bag.

I only try to get physical rewards from Club Nintendo but I'm down to less than 200 coins after buying a Game Card Case 18 last month. Will probably spend my last coins on one of the cheaper 3DS games like Kid Icarus 3D or one of the Mario vs. Donkey Kong titles.

Some good stuff in there. I wish the site was working.
I'm looking at:
New Super Mario Bros. 2
Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move
Brain Age Express: Sudoku
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
The Wonderful 101
Anyone know if the Mario Golf is the 3DS World Tour game?

No sir, it is the (fantastic) Game Boy Color version.
Incidentally, both versions are both on sale in the eShop for a few more days.
Mario Golf - GBC - $2.49 - 50% Off - Ends 2/5
Mario Golf: World Tour - $22.49 - 30% Off - Ends 2/5 - 25% Off - Ends 2/5
Grabbed them both last week.
