If Disney Bought Warner Brothers, Would you want a cross over event?
Or no?
This is highly unlikely obviously, but Hollywood Reporter threw it out there several days ago:

The prospect of combining Disney's Marvel with Time Warner's DC Comics might be too compelling to ignore, plus CNN would give Disney the cable news asset it lacks. Disney's market cap as of Aug. 8 was $149 billion compared with Time Warner's $63 billion, which gives Disney CEO Bob Iger more leverage than Murdoch might have had.

I think linking the comic book universes, if not outright combining them, makes sense. I would not try to do a crossover film until the grosses die down on the MCU though.

I'm sure they would do this even if we didn't want it. They've already started cramming George Lucas characters into Marvel movies.

No, the last thing we need are fanboys getting pissed because Wolverine's claws scratched Superman.

They're better off as alternate Earths. DC and Marvel superheroes are fundamentally different. Then again, I couldn't care less. Captain America is Marvel's most "DC" character. Batman is DC's most "Marvel". Switch em up for a year and see what happens. I'd like a moist towelette.

I want to see Daffy Duck kick Donald Duck's ass once and for all.
Oh yeah, and Sylvester catches and eats Mickey. Yum, Yum!

Well how the fuck are we supposed to know what the fuck you're thinking goddamit?!
seriously though...that'd be a horrible idea. I'm very uncomfortable with the idea of someone like Disney buying WB. Their major studio business model hasn't appealed to me much.

Fuck all this noise, I'm still waiting for Warners to release a Blu Ray of the uncut version of Ken Russell's The Devils.

This reminds me of a huge problem i had with the Marvel vs DC crossover in the 90s. In the story there are 11 battles. The Universe with the most wins gets to survive. Marvel wins 6 of the battles, but then this is not acknowledged and they both fight together anyway. Really stupid.
Plus in the comic the battle between the Hulk and Superman is pathetic. In about 2 punches Superman has knocked Hulk down for the count. Cannot go with that. I don't get why they make Superman so all powerful in the comics. Why is he this way? It makes the character rather dull.
I think for a long time it will be better to keep characters from each side within their own Universe. Be nice to see some crossovers from Marvel/Fox/Sony, but doubt it will happen for some time.

Re: If Disney Bought Warner Brothers, Would you want a cross over event?
Cuz The Hulk is very much still human based? Ridiculous argument but yeah. It's never bothered me that Supes could beat Hulk. That would make sense. Maybe the fight was pretty short so that's an issue but Supes is kind of a living god. So like...even Marvel's characters would have a hard time with him. Thor's power levels have always been iffy on me. He can take down the hulk at times and other times he doesn't. Power levels are all up to how the writer makes it. Which can be annoying for the sake of consistency.
I loved the Marvel vs. DC crossover as a kid, cuz I was a stupid little kid...we all loved shit. Good or bad.
But as I got older... It's a piece of crap. Horrible thing actually. The art is everywhere.

I do not want to see Disney buy Warner. They can work out deals for cross-over movies. We don't need any more media consolidation.
