Movies you're surprised are not cult classics?
What are some flicks that you believe should be cult classics?
To name one now: Bingo (1991)
No one ever talks about this. Fun, somewhat odd family movie from the early 90's.
I've seen much more forgettable movies that are more famous.

Midnight Madness (1980) a movie that was always on cable in the mid 80's that's a fun college student scavenger hunt movie. I own the DVD but the movie just isn't as well known as I think it should be.

I've seen Bingo, and I couldn't tell to what that movie was about except that the title character is a dog. It doesn't surprise me that it's not a cult classic at all.
I can't think of any movies that should be cult classics. All the movies that I liked that weren't big hits have inevitably become cult classics. Say Anything, Hackers, Tron, just to name a few, are all cult classics.

Walter Hill's JOHNNY HANDSOME (1989) and TRESPASS (1992) should be cult classics, but I've never heard much in the way of cult "chatter" about them. Unless it's gone under my admittedly limited radar.

I never saw Johnny Handsome, but I remember really liking Trespass when I saw it on video.
If I had to think of one, Judgment Night was a solid movie that I thought would have a cult following.

I'm shocked the Kung Pow bandwagon never fully took off. Maybe 20 years from now the French will worship the movie and it will have a revival in the states.

Being a little kid who grew up in Denver, the only thing i remember about Bingo is that the dad was a player for the Denver Broncos at one point in the movie.
If it were up to me the Charlie Sheen/Emilio Estevez movie Men at Work would have midnight revivals where the audience would play along to the movie and do the "golf clap" and scream "I hate rent-a-cops too" at the screen!

I thought Ticket To Heaven would have more of a cult following.

Things to Do In Denver When You're Dead. I thought it was well made, had interesting characters and a lot of memorable dialogue.

I was just coming here to post this, such a funny movie, and I think Keith David makes this movie a classic for me.

Perhaps it has something of a cult following, but I'm surprised Brian De Palma's Body Double isn't talked about more. Such a relentlessly odd film, dated in all the best ways, and it's sometimes thrilling and laughable in the same sequence.

I always had a soft spot for Brain Donors but no one else seems to know about it. Maybe it's not as funny as I'm remembering.
I always thought Top Secret! deserved more attention.
