I am guessing that most of you know about the "Breaking Bad" complete series on blu-ray that is in the barrel with all of those trinkets/toys. The amazon link is here. Usually that item is in the $300-$400 range, or it is OOP.


I never really wanted the barrel or the trinkets/toys. I just want the discs with the special features that are on the disc.


So, I was somewhat surprised to see the non-barrel version ( which amazon has had listed for quite a while ) finally has a release date. The pre-order price is $161. The amazon link is here.


Has anyone heard about this? Does anyone know any more details? Does it seem real? Sometimes amazon has listed off-kilter DVD/blu-rays without a release date, and then pull the item listing. But, it seems like , once it gets a release date, then usually amazon must have some official announcement. Has anyone heard anything official about this set ( without the barrel/trinkets/toys) ?

p.s. I am listing this under the "Blu-ray Bargains" because it is the complete series, but not for the expensive barrel version. If an admin needs to move this thread, that is fine with me.
