Bummed to see Cliff go. Thought if he did, it would have been because L.J. played an idol. I think Tony must have made sure L.J. knew he was siding with him. He looked pretty confident while the votes were being read.

#blindside

Yeah, had to be stuff we didn't see in camp (that the producers withheld to make Tribal Council more suspenseful). I liked Cliff and I was glad to see he took the blindside with class.

Having super physical challenges like the reward are a nice throwback. Instead of yet another convoluted relay with a puzzle at the end. Though having an uneven distribution of sexes on the tribes was a game-killer. There was just no way a woman holding on against a man and woman can beat a strong man holding to the post on the other side.

About next week's preview:
Spoiler:
Ughh ... I hope it doesn't feature as much of Trish's annoying laugh as it threatens. And Jeff with a one-on-one with an emotional Lindsey? I hope that doesn't mean another quitter is on the horizon.

That's a bummer about Cliff. Was hoping he would last longer.

I already can't stand Tony. He's coming across as Russell-light.

Don't like Trish at all. I was hoping Ciff would win the game just because they tried to throw a game to get him off.

Guess I'll take Spencer as my man now. Lindsey is my favorite lady but I don't think she will be around long nor Wu.

Since Morgan was an NFL cheerleader, I'm disappointed that she's not shown cheering on her team during the challenges, as she's sat out on the sidelines for two of them now.

And by "cheering", I basically mean "jumping up and down".

I do like the new team dynamics though.

Bummed to see Cliff go. He seemed like a good guy in camp and a great competitor. I can never understand the logic if getting rid of strong competitors before the merge. But if it means one more week of Morgan, so be it.

Wasn't that particular round two guys and one girl, and one team chose to put their girl on the pole (insert groucho smiley here) and the other team did not?

Pretty sure the winning team (Salami?) had three guys playing that last round. The losing team (Atari?) only had two guys period so they couldn't match that.

I don't remember ... did Jeff describe it as the female players being "on the pole"? Usually he takes advantage of opportunities like that.

Losing Cliff this early wasn't a shock. He's a rich ex-athlete and almost impossible to beat in some of the physical challenges. I probably would have targeted him ASAP on the island.

Makes more sense to get rid of him during the merge to me. He was big help in challenges and it always good to keep your numbers strong to pick off the other players.

I think the game has become too social with the weak targeting the percieved strong players right off the bat. They don't care about being a strong tribe, only getting anyone they think is too good at the game out.

The game has been like that for almost 14 years now.

I look at it the opposite. When they just vote off all the old people or physically weak people the first few rounds the seasons are usually boring. Cliff not only was a boring charecter he strikes me as someone who was just gonna be someones nice puppet who increases the chances of their being a stagnant endgame.

Re: Survivor: Cagayan -- "Odd One Out" -- 3/19/14

The producers clearly don't want anyone like Colby physically dominating Survivor anymore. Almost all of the immunity challenges these days minimize a person's speed, strength or even coordination. Practically the only purely physical challenges left involve swimming ability, endurance or balance, which mostly levels the playing field between the sexes.

Colby wouldn't have dominated not because of the challenges but because most of the people his season were just regular people and maybe 1 or other 2 people who could compete with him .Nowadays more then half the players every year are really athletic.

Re: Survivor: Cagayan -- "Odd One Out" -- 3/19/14

I didn't like the big tribe swap. I think they should have waited until one of the tribes were down to two and split them up among the other two teams. Or, ideally, merge the three tribes when the total number dwindles down to 9 or 10.

It's too bad to see Cliff go. I liked his small alliance. I was rooting for him and Woo to make it deep. Now it seems that Woo isn't long for this game either.

And you guys can have Morgan. I'll take Alexis

I was wondering if what they showed on the episode was the last of the Brain's food, so they decided to merge them early rather than let the Brain tribe starve for perhaps another 3 days.

In other words, this is "Survivor... With a Life Preserver."
