Motley Crue - Final Tour (then breakup) [Update: back together]
70 Show Tour, with Alice Cooper opening.
They've all contractually agreed that there will be no more Motley Crue after this tour - period. This is the end.

Saw them with KISS a couple years back. They still put on a hell of a show.

I think they are still going to put out one more album, and the movie version of The Diirt as well.

Going to the Tulsa, OK show. Missed them last time they were here with KISS. Motley Crue was a huge part of my childhood/teen years. I still break out Too Fast For Love, Shout At The Devil and Theater Of Pain from time to time.
I think they are putting out a tribute album and then the movie version of Dirt. I would like a new album but it is doubtful.

Saw them twice and had a blast both times. Always wanted to see Cooper live. This will probably be a must for me.

I can't even imagine how such a contract would be legally binding. Unless they're signing the name over to Bill Gates or someone who would have no financial incentive to use it. And even then I don't think it would stop the four of them from performing as Crotley Mue or whatever.
Makes for a good bullet point in a press release though I guess.

I would presume that, if they chose to, the four of them could agree to dissolve the contract at some point in the future.
What it might do is prevent the band going forward without all four members. So Nikki and Vince couldn't record or perform as Motley Crue without Mick and Tommy (or at least their explicit permission).

Never seen Crue live. I meant to see them on the Kiss/Crue tour but tickets were too cost prohibitive for decent seats and the set-lists for both were short as hell, if I remember correctly.

I haven't seen Motley Crue live, but I've seen Steel Panther live many times, and that's enough for me.

I saw them on the John Carabi tour because the tix were $10. That was enough for me. My buddy caught a drum stick at that show.

Alice Cooper opening... all those young bands out there that could use the exposure of an opening slot and they take Alice.
Fuck off, Crue.

I've seen Motley Crue twice, and they weren't that good.
First time was on the Dr. Feelgood tour with Lita Ford opening. It was a really sloppy set and Vince could barely handle the vocals.
The second time was for the Carnival of Sins tour, and they were a bit better but still nowhere near as killer as a band like Maiden.

I'll never forget seeing Tommy Lee and that awesome spinning drum set live back in the day. Awesome show.

I saw them last year at a casino show and thought they sounded really good but their stage show was very toned down due to the size of the venue.
Hope to make it this time for $100 or less. Glad Alice Cooper is opening up, because I would like to see him too.

I've seen Motley Crue twice (in '84 and '88) and Alice Cooper once (in '89). Enjoyed all 3 shows. I would have gone to this just for nostalgia value, but the Chicago date is outdoors in Tinley Park. Awful place to get to and to get in and out of. So I won't be bothering, unfortunately.

Saw the Crue twice. First show was pretty good (it was maybe 10-15 years ago; Cheap Trick opened). Second show wasn't that great. I doubt I'll see them a 3rd time.

I decided to go to the Denver show. I was impressed that my iphone added the umulats or whatever when I was txting my buddy about it. It also wouldn't have let that "iphone" thing in the previous sentence slide.

I've got 2 free lawn tickets to use thanks to a Live Nation snafu, and this is coming to one of my favorite venues: Irvine Meadows. Definitely getting tix.

Unless prices drop after the pre-sale, I may not be going at all. Tickets in the front-ish section of the upper tier were going for $150+ and there was some additional "fan club fee" ($55!) Anything close was just obscene.
Saw them twice (1987 and 2010) and enjoyed both shows. Somehow, I've never seen Alice Cooper, so I was looking forward to that as well. Oh well...

I have not seen them since the Dr. Feelgood tour. They always seemed to generally sound like shit, but still manage to put on a reasonably fun show. I'm going to try to go see this

So the ACTUAL final tour is THIS year. Should be announcing soon.

I thought the tour last year was it, but the contract they signed states now touring AFTER 2015.
